"Hi, mom," Mal, Maleficent's daughter says. I turn around facing the witch.

"Stealing candy? I'm so disappointed," Maleficent says.

   "It was from a baby!"

"That's my nasty little girl." Mal hands her mother the lollipop and she spits on it. I was really looking forward to having some kind of sugar today. "Give it back to the dreadful creature."

   "Mom!"

"It's the deets, Mal, that make the difference between mean and truly evil. When I was your age, I was cursing entire kingdoms." Mal copies her mother- ¨Cursing entire kingdoms¨. "You. Walk with me. See, I'm just, just trying to teach you the thing that really counts...how to be me."

I start to get bored with there conversation and start messing with my jacket. "I know that. And I'll do better."

"Oh, there's news! I buried the lede. You four have been chosen to go to a different school, in Auradon." I freeze realizing the obvious, there's five of us.

   "Hold on, four?" I ask.

"Not you, Gasty. Sadly, they don't have second chances for children whose parents tried to kill the king." Maleficent uses the nickname everyone calls me but I really hate.

"Okay, well then I'm going to go. I have to check up on Gil, you know how it is." I turn to Evie, my best friend and daughter of the Evil Queen.

   "Y/n?" Evie asks.

"I'm fine." I find Gil talking to Uma, daughter of Ursala, and Harry, son of Captain Hook. "Hey, Gilly!"

"Hey," my brother replies hugging me softly. "What's got you all down?"

"It's nothing, just Mal, Evie, Jay, and Carlos are all going to Auradon. They leave later today."

"I'm so sorry," Gil hugs me tighter.

"Mal is leaving?" Uma asks me.

"Yeah, she is. I just wish that they weren't leaving me behind," I reply softly.

"You could always join us, love," Harry flirts. He makes my stomach hurt, not in a good way, more in a way that makes me want to vomit.

"Maybe it's best I don't." I turn heading back the way I came, "I'm going to tell them good bye, I'll see you guys later!"

I walk over to the limo seeing the beautiful, slick, black car. Mal spots me and gives me a hug. "I'll miss you," Mal whispers.

"I'll miss you, too." I watch as the quartet climb into the limo and wave at me. Waving back, I watch them, my only friends leave me behind. I should be happy right? They're going on a new adventure, with out me.

"Y/n," Gil says walking up next to me. He ruffles my soft, H/C hair. "It's about time we head home, it's getting late."

"Yeah, come on Gil." I turn towards our tavern and begin heading inside. I don't often live with my father, he's a real hot head when it comes to most things. He just makes it really difficult to live with him. Most of the time Gil and I live in our hide out, but it's that point in the year where we stay with our father for a full month seeing if he has changed, I have no doubt that he can, if he tried. He just doesn't try.

"Hi, dad!" Gil says happily walking into the tavern.

"Hey, bud," dad responds. He's always favored Gil because he's a boy, and cause dad and I speak on our differences, if you can call it speaking.
