The environment around me is cold and made out of metal. There was a window that leads to the view of the forest and markets, it seemed like I was floors above the ground. I looked around the iron cells holding the cold metal. I saw no one, "Hello?", I asked. No reply. At that time I start worrying about Ruth, Petra, Sharen, and my family. What happened to Ruth? What will Petra and Sharen do? We're on the other side?!

I start to panic, so I calmed myself down by taking deep breathes and letting them go just like what Mother said. Will, I ever met Mother again? That question struck me but there's no time to sorrow right now. I have to find Ruth and Joy and go back home. I looked around once again, there was nothing inside the cell except for this chair. I did what I can and throw the chair to the cells hopelessly trying to get out of this cell, but the chair broke. There was no one in the cells next to me and the front of me was stairs that must've led to other cells, maybe I could find Ruth in one of these cells.

"Hey calm down!", A guard came to my cell and pointed his weapon -a metal sword- in my direction. "Why am I here? Where's my cousin? Where's my deer?", I asked him hopelessly wanting an answer. I was devastated and the guard seemed to know that. I put his weapon down but keep a straight posture while explaining to me the situation. "We found out you're from the other side and you and your cousin are the first people who had come from that side since generations, since the rule that was made by King George the first. For now, we will keep you in prison until further notices from the king, but the king is out in business and is busy because of the war so we could not bother him.", He explains sternly.

I sigh, "Do you know where's my cousin is?", I asked him hope in my eyes. "She is in a different prison, the prison next to ours." He said as he points to the tube-looking building that look similar to the one I'm in right now from the window in between cells. I sigh before asking once again, "What about the deer?", "He's currently on our farm. Do not worry miss, we won't hurt him.", said smiling to reassure me. I smile back, "By the way, what's your name?", I ask starting a conversation. "Dante.", He said changing his position so that his back was facing me which I won't blame him because he is on duty.

I lay my back on the cold wall and slowly dropped my body to the cold floor. "It is nice meeting you Dante, my name is Abby.", I said as I looked at the beautiful day outside of the prison. Worried about what my family would be doing right now knowing me and Ruth is missing with a magical creature. "Can I ask you more questions about this side Dante?", I asked. "As long as you'll answer some of my questions from your side.", Dante said as I smile, "Deal."

"What does it feel like being on the other side? How do you survive?", Dante asks and I explain to him the whole story. We spend the whole day talking together asking each other questions we have all wondered about our whole lives and sharing our stories. "You have a lovely family Abby.", Dante said one last time before looking at me for the first time after he stand still the whole day. "Sadly I have to go to my dorm now and sleep, getting ready for my duty tomorrow.", He said as he turned around looking in my direction. "It was nice talking to you, I hoped to see you soon and for you to be free.", He gave a sweet smile before waving goodbye. "Goodbye Dante.", I said farewell to my new friend as he slowly disappear from my sight.

I sight, looking at the beautiful night sky. It looked the same as it was back home, but the stars were in a different position and the moon was at a different angle. "I miss home.", I mumbled under my breath as I brought my knees to my chest and rest my head on my knees. It had been a very long day and worries come to my brain, every what-ifs thought hits me during the night time and this time is way worse with so many worries to think about. I sigh as I try to fall asleep in the uncomfortable position and rest for there will be a whole new day tomorrow.

---

I woke up the next day feeling a headache and shivering from the cold night of sleep in the cell. I saw a different guard guarding my cell and I woke up to the mirror to see my messy hair and dirty face from sleeping on a dirty floor for a whole night. I groan as my back hurts, I miss my bed. Oh to be home right now and wake up to Mother's cooking and boy's bickering. I clean myself as much as I can and there was food and water put inside my cell, prison food.

"Thank you.", I said as I grab the food smiling warmly at the guard that left the food and he just smile back apologetically. I prayed and start eating my breakfast which wasn't that pleasant but it was better than my growling stomach and I use my clean water to its finest, I drink most of it and use the rest to clean my face. As I finish my breakfast, I put the empty tray on the same spot where I receive it and the guard grabbed it from the outside of the cell. "Thank you for the food.", I said one last time before the guard went and put the tray in a tray place that was brought downstairs.
