From that day on, every year, the same day they've met Rosaline visits his grave. That was it, the end of the book. I sigh as a tear escapes my eye. I wiped it as I close the book and put it back to where it belonged. That was a tragic love story for sure, quite emotional to read and I would be lying if I say it is not a good book or storyline.

From the beginning it was a lovely story, it was also written beautifully, the adventure the protagonists had made the story more heartbreaking than it already was as they do not deserve that ending. But the ending made it more ironic and tragic making the book more interesting as reading it brings a rollercoaster of emotions that if I had to explain it in more detail, it will take more than one night to do so.

I'm glad I read that book. Maybe the book did make me understand more about love romantically. I never master that specific topic as all I've learned so far from all these books in the racks are more of a platonic and family type of love. When I and Ruth talk about the future, usually it's only about us as a family. We never really talked about boys or getting married despite being teenagers who are supposed to have these hormones, because marrying our cousins seems weird and off.

This is not a topic I just thought about now, I asked my parents about it and they say it is our choice if we want to marry them or not. If you think about it deeply if we did not multiply, our family will vanish one by one, and no one will be living on this side. But then again, we should marry because of love and not only to reproduce.

I sigh as I checked the time from the big clock that's in the middle back of the library. It was still 2 a.m., Mother won't be awake until 5 a.m. to water the plants. I got out of the library and climb my way up to the roof of our house where the stars are shining through the night sky. I guess as I grow older I'll understand things better. That's the only thing I look up to in the future, experiencing, learning, and changing for the better.

I watch as the night put on a show just for me tonight. The sky was the only thing that was not ruined by the meteor, but the meteor ironically came from the sky that causes this. Sometimes I wonder, what could happen if none of this ever happen? Will our family have this strong bond? Will Father, Uncles, and Petra stay home more? Will I understand romantic love better? Will I understand anything better?

The thoughts of what-ifs never leave one's mind. As I lay down, I relaxed my muscles. I hear a huffing noise from underneath the house. I sat back up and looked under me, there I saw a deer in front of the house looking at me. I can't quite tell if it's Joy or another deer since it was dark during these hours. I squinted my eyes to see a finer vision of the deer, but all of a sudden the deer disappear into thin air.

I heard breathing beside me and I saw a deer right new to me on top of the roof. I gasp as the deer comes closer and lick my cheek. "Ew, that is disgusting.", I said as I wiped my cheeks that are covered in some saliva. "Will you stop complaining?", The deer in front of me says. I opened my eyes wide, surprised at what I have just heard. "Did you just... talk to me?", I ask looking at the deer in disbelieve.

"Yeah, yeah let's go on with this. Hello! I am the deer you called 'Joy'", He said sarcastically. "I don't mind you calling me that since I don't have a name so I appreciate that.", He said now with a more serious tone than before. "What kind of deer are you?", I asked as I rest my arms that were wiping my cheeks on my lap. "A magical one I guess since I can talk to you by licking you.", He said sitting down as a human and shrugging his shoulders.

I was stunned at the sigh and my eyes were still widening. I've never seen anything like this in my 14 years of living. "Wow- WAIT! Get down from the roof! You're going to make a hole from your weight!", I screamed not too loud to wake the whole family up but loud enough to make Joy back away. "Relax little girl! I can fly, see?", He said as he floats around me in a circular motion. I sigh in relief, it is quite a lot to take in at once.

"Well Joy, you are one magical deer", I said with my composure back to normal. "Why thank you.", The deer said with a smile as he now floats on top of the roof. "Is there more species like you here?", I asked curiosity filling me. "Well... I can't just tell you that information. You humans could just hunt my pack down and make us dinner!", He said sarcastically. I laugh as I reply, "Well if we do so it'll be hard to do so, I mean you can fly!", I laugh once again when I see realization hits his face.

"You have a point there.", He said before changing his position again trying to be comfortable with the way he's floating on top of the house. "Well first, let's go on the ground because I'm getting tired of floating. I nod as I climb off the root while he just flies and lands his feet on the ground. When my feet finally reached the ground I looked at Joy who was already there first and signaled to him to follow me inside of the library building.
