I close the door so that no one can hear and go sit next to Petra on his bed. I opened my mouth and let every word come out. I told him everything, about Joy, our encounter, the magical creature, and the other side. His eyes widen at that name, this is the thing he has been searching for his whole life. He looks at the floor in shock while I just sit next to him, observing his shocked eyes and hair that has grown this past year.

"This is a lot to take.", He said as he now stand up straight and look at me over his shoulders. He gave me sweet smile, "I can't wait for the adventures coming our way.", he said. I smiled back at him thinking the same thing. We both stand up and went to the doorway. As I opened the doorway I see Ruth standing in front of the door seeming to lose her balance. "Hey!", She said awkwardly as she kept herself from falling and resting her body on the doorframe.

We both laugh at her while she just glared at us. "I was curious okay!", She said before stomping her foot to the stairs. "Let's go to the library!", She screamed before going downstairs, I looked at Petra and we both nodded. We walked downstairs, grabbed a snack while passing the kitchen, and went outside of the house. I look at the beautiful day in front of me. Uncles and Fathers are looking for some wood while for the summer camp tomorrow, the little boys are playing kite, Sharen is reading a book while watching them, and Mother, Aunt Erika, as well as grandma was on the front porch sipping some tea while Mother and Aunt Erika are playing chess.

What a wonderful day. Petra had already gone to the library before me, as I enter the library I saw both my cousin and brother already searching for books and information. I walked in their direction and grabbed a book, the sun was shining brightly through the glass roof on top of us. I grabbed a chair and sat in front of Ruth while Petra was sitting next to me. We were there for around 10 minutes before someone barged into the library. "Stop spending time in the library and let's go outside!", Joshua said as he left the entrance of the library leaving the door open wide. From that angle, we could see the perfect day outside and it was tempting.

"Maybe we should just have fun today?", I ask both of them. "But what about the research?", Ruth asks. "Well I think we have enough facts, just some more information about the power but...", I said, "It's a perfect day today, we should spend it wisely.", Petra continue. Ruth nodded in understanding, "True.", she said one last time before the three of us speedrun putting the books back to its shelves and ran outside not forgetting to close the door.

"Last one to Sharen is a rotten egg!", I scream as I was in the lead. We ran through the green field and expectedly I jumped to Sharen first making both of us fall, "Abby!", Sharen said in shock, but that was not the end. Ruth and Petra joined and jump on top of both of us. "Ouch! Why am I the one suffering?", Sharen cries. We all laugh at the end and talked the whole day, about the book she's reading, about the boys, sometimes I and Ruth also played the kite with the kids. It felt like summer.

Though I wish the moment could last forever, it was too good to be true and nighttime was coming. But the day was not close to ending. All of us got inside as the night was getting colder and have soup for dinner. "I miss you cooking so much dear!", Father said as he drank the whole soup in one breath. "Slow down! You're going to choke yourself!", Mother informs worriedly as the rest of the table just laughs at the married couple.

That night we have fort time two nights a row, well mostly just talking about Petra's first experience in being a hunter and how excited we are to see Joy. The fort time was longer than we anticipated and we all went to bed quite late. But I can't sleep once again, which is going to be bad because we have summer camp the next day. I decided to go to the roof to get some fresh air, I sigh as I climb out of my bed carefully not to wake anyone up. I went out of the window and climb my way to the roof.

The night was cold and I regret getting out here without a coat or blanket to keep me from shivering every minute. I laid my back on the roof and saw the beautiful show in the sky. The stars shine beautifully and the moonlight was so bright that night, a feeling of déjà vu hits me. This reminds me of the night I had my last encounter with Joy. What if we met again? What will I do? Will I tell the others, or should I just spend quality time with him?

My what-ifs were interrupted the moment someone licked my cheek surprising me. "GAH! You surprise me.", I said now sitting down with a floating deer beside me. He seemed to laugh seeing his attack worked. "That's the whole point loser.", He said before looking up to the night sky. "Did you tell anyone about me?", He asks eyes still locked to the sky. "I told my siblings and cousins. Don't worry I didn't tell my parents or my Uncles and Aunt.", I told him trying to assure him. "You can't keep secrets from them can you?", Joy said now finally looking back to my eyes. "My secrets are their secrets.", I said as I gave him a warm smile.
