SOPHIE'S POV:

I woke up to the annoying sounds of my alarm clock. Wonderful. I looked over at my iHome for the time. 6:25.

Well that's just dandy.

Why did I have to go to school today? Why? I mean, it's not like anyone would notice if I was gone..

I groaned before throwing the blanket off of me, then I dragged myself out of bed and to the bathroom.

I peeled my clothes off and stepped into the shower, letting the water wake me up. I washed my body with my vanilla body wash and then shampooed and conditioned my hair. After that I washed my face, then got out.

I wrapped a towel around my hair and my body and walked into my room and over to my closet.

I got out some undergarments and slipped those on, throwing the towels in my dirty clothes hamper.

I grabbed some black skinny jeans, a gray oversized sweater and then slipped on my worn out black combat boots.

I applied a small amount of foundation and mascara and then brushed through my long hair.

I sprayed some PINK perfume on me before grabbing my phone and my school bag and running out of my room, down the stairs.

"Morning love." My mother smiled from where she was sitting on the counter with her laptop.

"Hi mum." I said, grabbing a granola bar out of the pantry.

I snuck a look at the clock and saw it read 7:50. SHIT!

"Gotta go mum! Bye!" I hastily said, grabbing everything I needed and running out the door.

I walked to school, mostly because my mom usually sleeps in late because she works late nights at the hospital. Except last night, I guess.

And well, it's not like I have any friends to walk or drive with.. So..

You may think that when I say I have no friends I'm exaggerating. But I'm not. Sadly. Last year, I moved here to Bradford when my mother and father divorced. And I have yet to make any friends.. Luckily I still have my big brother here though, even if he will be going off to uni next year in London. He usually drives me to school with him, but he's sick. So not today.

I arrived at the school barely on time and quickly walked to my locker.

I got my literature book out and started walking towards Mr. Evans' room.

I kept my head down as I walked, not making eye contact with anyone.

I got to class and set my stuff down on my desk then took my normal seat near the front. All of the jocks sit in the back, and they're just obnoxious, so I try to sit as far away from them as possible.

The class droned on and on, and eventually we were released to second period.

I went to my locker and put all of my things in it then headed towards choir room. There's nothing I love more than choir. I can actually be myself in that class. And I absolutely love my choir teacher. He's the father I never had. Considering my father was always so awful to me and my mother..

I set my stuff down in the back of the room and grabbed my choir folder. I took my normal seat on the third riser and started practicing my music. We were learning a beautiful Eric Whitacre piece called "Sleep".

About 5 minutes passed until the class settled down and Mr. Chafin started making announcements.

"Okay, everyone quiet. I have an announcement for you all!" He said.
