SOPHIE'S POV:
Zayn seemed deep in thought about something, staring at the cabinet by my legs in concentration.
He confused me. Sometimes, he's a possessive jackass. And other times.. He's not that bad. I'm not saying he'll be the nicest person on the earth, but he's better than he normally is.
I honestly don't understand why he'll be possessive.. It's not like I belong to him. It isn't like he can go around and tell me what to do.
I needed to know why I apparently can't go outside. I need to know why Zayn is such an ass to me. I need answers.
"Zayn.." I mumbled, getting his attention.
He looked up at me with a soft look on his face. It wasn't one of his looks that would normally scare me, either. He must've been thinking about something, I guess.
"Hmm?" He mumbled.
"Um, who are those guys that were across the road?" I asked cautiously, sensing his jackass attitude was about to make an appearance.
His body tensed up and he studied my face, obviously trying not to get upset with me.
"They're just some bad people I know. Please, just don't go out there unless I am with you." He said, the last sentence sounding almost sincere.
"What did they-" I started, but I was cut off by the doorbell ringing.
I quickly dropped my gaze and walked to the door. I opened the door and felt my breath hitch in my throat.
"Well, wasn't expecting a hot girl to answer the door."
It was the guys from across the street. Well, one at the door and the others a few yards away, waiting for their friend.
"Um, can I help you?" I asked, suddenly feeling scared of him.
He smirked at me, and raised his hand, brushing it across my cheek. I flinched at his touch and turned around to close the door, but I ran face first into a firm chest.
"Don't touch her." Zayn growled darkly at the guy.
I felt Zayn's arm wrap around my waist and pull me closer to him, and normally, I'd object, but something about his touch made me feel safer.
I heard the guy chuckle, and Zayn pulled me even closer into his side. It gave me a good time to get a good smell of his cologne. And it smelled amazing. It just smelled so.. Like him.
"Ah, Zayn. Still in Bradford, eh? Thought you would've left this shithole." The guy said, his friends chuckling behind him.
"Just leave." Zayn growled.
The guy laughed, "I guess you've figured it all out now, haven't you? The deal with this little beauty? You know, you were always a smart one."
I felt Zayn's grip around me tighten and his body tense up. I took a look up and saw his eyes were dark and his jaw was clenched.
"You won't get anywhere near her. Not with me here." Zayn snapped.
"We'll see, we'll see." The guy muttered, then just walked away.
I let out a sigh of relief once the guy left.
Zayn turned to me once the door closed and held my shoulders, making me look at him.
Zayn began frantically searching my body for any bruises or marks, "Are you okay? Did he hurt you? I'll best hi-"
"Zayn, I'm fine. But please just tell me who he is!" I begged.
