Maya and Josh- The Long Game

Today was the big day, today was the day Maya has been waiting for what felt like forever.

„Okay, Riley, I have to look over the top good tonight, no, I have to look sexy, sexy and insanely good, so what am I gonna wear?" Maya asked her best friend while being extremely nervous about finding the right outfit.

„Peaches, first of all, try to relax, it's your birthday, be happy, not nervous or anxious. Second, you should definitely go for that one" she pointed at a strapless classic black mid thigh dress that accentuated her body in all the right places.

„You're brilliant, I'll take that one and I'll go for black heels and that juicy red lipstick of yours, Riles." she smirked

„Sure, anything for you today, my sweetheart." Riley smiled „So, do you think it's gonna happen tonight? You think Josh will kiss you and ask you to be his girlfriend?" She continued looking like a little child before opening its Christmas presents

„I don't know, Riles, he is so unpredictable, I hate that. I surely wouldn't complain about it but I don't want to force it either, it's sad enough that he had school all day just like us so I only get tonight, but with everyone else around, it's not like we will have any privacy. But at least I get to look good so he knows what he's getting once he finally makes his move."

„yikes don't make me get visual about you and my uncle." Maya rolled her eyes at her as Riley continued "but yeah, it's gonna happen eventually, I know how much Josh has been dying to finally make it official. Lets just enjoy the best birthday of your life, peaches." She smiled hugging her best friend tight which was of course Mayas favorite thing to do....

Everyone close to Maya was there, her parents, Cory and Topanga, Auggie and Ava, Lucas, Zay, Riley, Farkle and Smackle. Just Josh was the only one running late and being last to join everyone. The door on the rooftop opened and he just stood there for a moment, taking in the sight of Maya who was chatting with her parents, not noticing him yet. She was truly the most beautiful woman he had ever seen, he couldn't believe that she would be his, that she actually loved him. Watching her smile was the most satisfying thing to witness, her insanely gorgeous blue eyes that revealed her heart to him with every look she gave him, her stunning and in his eyes perfectly formed figure, it was almost hard to breathe for him just watching her from a distance. He slowly walked over to her, trying not to get too much attention from everyone else. Maya turned around and as her eyes land on Joshs, her whole face just lid up a million times more „Hello gorgeous, and happy birthday" he said softly as he slowly put his hands on Mayas waist and gently pulled her into a hug. „Sorry, I'm late" he smiled as he caressed her cheeks and placing a soft, lingering kiss on her cheeks making Maya blush and shiver at the same time.

„Thank you, Josh, you know the best always come last" she smirks as she leans in to give him a kiss on his cheek back.

„Good, cause I wouldn't want to upset you on your birthday", he smirks, „and Maya, I have to tell you right away that you won't get a present from me today, you will get my present tomorrow. And by the way, I hope you haven't forgotten that I'm taking you out tomorrow all day, right?"

„Of course I haven't forgotten, how could I? Our first date tomorrow is everything I could think about all week. Although I hate that I don't know what we're gonna do" she narrowed her eyes at him

„Oh you're so cute when you get upset about surprises" he laughed with a smirk.

„You're terrible."

„And you look absolutely stunning tonight, Ms. Hunter" he stated as he leaned closer whispering in her ear „or should I say, extremely sexy" he smirked looking back at her noticing her blush.
