Y/N POV

It's been a few weeks now, it was almost Christmas break and I haven't spoken to Scorpius or Albus much, in fact, I really haven't spoken to them at all. I usually just go off on my own, I did miss them, I needed to clear things up tell them what's going on.

I went to the moving staircases saying hello to some portraits, I wanted to go down to the library so I tried to time everything right, I was so close when they moved the wrong way, ugh, sometimes I really hate these stairs, I could only go up now, I guess today won't be going to the library, I make my way up the staircase, when I was about to change directions, I met eyes with a familiar blondie.

Scorpius. I didn't know what to say, any words I had planned on saying to them had left, we were standing not too far from each other, the staircase moving us to face each other at the top of the stairs, "I-"
I was cut off, he launched and embraced me deeply, his arms wrapped around my neck and one of his hands on the back of my head gently rubbing it, I hugged him back one hand on his lower back the other on his upper back.

I have no idea how long we were hugging, it had been so long since I had even spoken to him, he stepped away slightly moving his hands to just below my shoulders, "I really missed you Y/n." he smiled this time, I smiled back, "I missed you too Scorpius." this was the first time he had heard my voice in ages, he pulled me into another hug, he buried his face in my neck, "I missed your voice Y/n." I didn't know what to say, it was honestly a bit shocking, "did I say that out loud?" he whispered, I giggle "yes, yes you did." he pulls away and just smiles at me.

"SCORPIUS WAIT UP YOU GIT!" I look over to the voice, Albus was having some trouble with the stairs causing Scorpius and I to laugh "Hold up! is that Y/N?!" Albus continues, I wave at him and laugh, I have missed these two so much more than I realised and it hadn't even been that long. "We were going to head to the library if you want to join us," Scorpius asked, he looked so bright, his smile was beaming. "Actually that's perfect, there's a lot I need to clear up." I respond, "ALBUS WE WILL MEET YOU AT THE LIBRARY!" Scorpius grabbed my hand and lead me through the stairs, somehow it was easy this time.

Y/N POV

We found a quiet corner in the library and took a seat. "Okay, so there's a lot to talk about..." I had no idea how to start this. "I guess I should just start from my birthday." both boys stayed quiet and awaited me to continue.

"So basically, the rips you saw over my back, it all started when I was a baby. My father, as most people know, had possession of a time-turner, a prototype he had made, extremely unstable, later the ministry found out and were quick to put an end to my fathers antics, when they destroyed the prototype it exploded, it not only set the house on fire but it completely burnt my back and shoulders." I stopped for a moment taking in their expressions, they looked shocked.

"Ever since then, every now and then, my skin would rip and burn all over again. Madam Pomfrey and Professor McGonagall theorised this happens because it was caused by a time-turner so it repeats, goes back to the time it first happened therefore burning and ripping." it was silent now, no one knew what to say.

"The reason I didn't talk to you guys is because I was worried about what you would say." I held my hands in my lap, Scorpius reached for my hand and held it under the table, "We were worried about you, if anything we would want to help you, it must be tough." he thumb drew circles on my hand.

"Is there anything we can do for you now?" Albus chimed in.

"Quidditch." They both looked at me confused "tryouts are tomorrow and I haven't trained whatsoever, please." Scorpius now removed his hand from mine "But what if you get hurt?" He sounded generally concerned "I won't, I've got you two." I smiled, Albus was keen Scorpius not so much
