Tryouts

SCORPIUS POV

I was getting ready for the tryouts, Ravenclaw and Slytherin would be doing tryouts together then it would be Hufflepuff and Gryffindor. I was outside the stadium, I didn't have my gear on because I would just be watching today.

Y/n and Albus were walking down to the stadium, both fully in quidditch gear, Y/n looked very nervous, Albus didn't care by the looks of it.

"You two ready?" I say cheerfully, Albus shrugs and Y/n pulls at her fingers, "I think I'm gonna be sick." she looked at the floor and nothing else, "It's okay, I've seen you train, you'll do fantastic!" I grab her hand softly, her hand slightly shaking, but it soon stopped and she smiled at me. I pull Albus and Y/n into a group hug and we all enter the stadium together.

I sat at the Slytherin panel next to the coach, Albus had a hand on Y/n's shoulder, she was still obviously nervous, she looks in my direction, I give her a big cheesy smile and two thumbs up, she smiles slightly.

Y/N POV

Tryouts weren't going too bad, I was trying out for beater, Albus would change from beater to chaser every few matches, "An impressive hit from L/N!" I heard the Ravenclaw coach shout. This only made me more determined, Albus was a really good beater also, but an even better chaser!

Before we knew it tryouts were over, "Thank you, everyone, for today, we were both very happy with the matches today, the teams will be up in the next few days." the Slytherin Coach announced, "please clear the pitch for the Gryffindors and Hufflepuffs, thanks." the Ravenclaw followed and ushered us out.

"Y/N, you did fabulously!" it was Alice? "Alice, what are you doing here?" I didn't know she liked quidditch "trying out of course!" she looked so cheerful, "well! we won't hold you up! Best of luck Alice!" I give her a quick hug and then she meets Albus' eyes, "you also did fantastic Albus, I'll see you later." He smiled and watched her as she ran onto the pitch.

"The heck was that?" I look at Albus raising an eyebrow and smirking slightly, "I have a class with her? she's a friend of mine."

Y/N POV

We all started heading back to the common rooms and Scorpius was talking about how great we did, it was good to know he thought we did great!

We all got comfy in the common room, Scorpius on the couch reading a book, Albus sitting on the arm of the couch, feet on the cushions, I was looking at the collection of books.

"I wonder how Alice did at tryouts." I turn my head facing Albus, Scorpius did the same, "I must've missed out on a lot huh?" I cross my arms and a smug grin forms over my face, "You have no idea, he's like in love with her or something." Scorpius laughs closing his book only after he marked his page, "Be quiet you, you didn't stop talking about Y/-" Scorpius wacked Albus in the face fairly hard that he nearly fell off the armrest, I laugh and walk over to the boys, I sit in between Scorpius' legs on the floor, he rests the book on my head, "You make a great bookrest Y/n." he giggles Albus now lighting up after the book to the face, "Hey!" I laugh too, Scorpius now mindlessly playing with my hair lightly, I missed them, it was good being back with them.

"Any plans for the holiday's boys?" I look up at Scorpius tilting my head back, he looks down at me and smiles, lightly bopping the book on my nose, "Not really, probably just spending time with my Mum and Dad." Scorpius smiled big, "Yeah dad will probably invite over Hermione and Ron so I'm gonna have to deal with Rose!" He dramatically drapes himself over the couch, "I'll probably just stay at the hut with Hagrid." it was quiet but not for long. "We should all catch up! Yeah! I'll send an owl to you two when you guys can come over!" Scorpius explained while resting a hand on my head, "Sounds great!" Albus said I agreed.

We were talking about quidditch when the common room door opened, it was Octavia. "Albus! Alice wants you to meet her in the library!" Albus fixed his posture and his hair and left without a word. Octavia, Scorpius and I all burst into laughter, "They like each other so much I think they're blind to it." Octavia manages to say through bursts of laughter. "Anyways I'll leave you two." she winks and walks away, I was really confused, I look up at Scorpius and his cheeks grew red, I brushed it off.

It's just a Scorpius thing.

Y/N POV

It was the day before Christmas break and the tryout results were up in the common room, I didn't want to look, I started feeling nervous all over again, even if I did want to look I couldn't so many people were crowded around the piece of parchment on the wall, I just sat on the couch fiddling with my necklace, I didn't even realise someone was right in front of me, I only noticed them once they grabbed my hands pulling me into a tight hug, "Scorpius?" "Mhm." he hums in my ear, "I didn't make the team did I?" I pulled away from the hug, but not for long, he pulled me back, "YOU'RE OFFICIALLY THE RAVENCLAW BEATER Y/N!" he squeezed me even tighter "I AM?" I didn't believe it, "YES! AND ALBUS IS SLYTHERIN CHASER!" this was incredible, we were all officially quidditch players at Hogwarts! this was so amazing! we finished on a high note this was great!

Before I knew it though, I had to say bye to the boys, it was a sad parting but they promised to keep in touch.

Next chapter will follow the events of the cursed child script. The writing was definitely a bit off the last few chapters I do apologise but I really wanted to get to the point!!
