Y/N POV
We watched Voldemort kill Harry's parents that day. We stood together and embraced one another, no one was alone. We ached for James and Lily, but we knew we couldn't interfere.
We got home, I told the boys I'd meet up with them soon. I went straight to Hagrid.

I knock on the door nervously. I wait. The door opens carefully and slowly until I see half of Hagrid's face. "I'm home..." I say awkwardly. He swings the door open and lifts me into a hug. I almost can't breath. My heart feels whole.

SCORPIUS POV
"You do realise Polly Chapman did ask me to the school ball." I chuckle. "In an alternate reality where you were significantly, really significantly more popular, a different girl asked you out, and that means..." Albus starts but I cut him off ."And yes, logic would dictate I should be pursuing Polly... or allowing her to pursue me, she's a notorious beauty, after all, Y/n is so much more than just beauty." I swoon. "I honestly thought I'd be the first of us to get a girlfriend." Albus chuckles. "Oh, you will, undoubtedly, probably that new smoky-eyed Potions professor, she's old enough for you, right?" I feel slightly bad for my joke, but it was so worth the look on his face. "I don't have a thing about older women!" Albus says in a defensive tone. "You might wanna quicken your pace though, because I plan on taking Y/n on the most romantic date of her life!" I shake Albus's shoulders. "I admire your confidence." He can't help but laugh at me.
"What's so funny?" I turn my head sharply to the voice, and it's Y/n, she smiles. "It's kinda weird being back..." She says. Albus and I move apart to make room for her. She sits stiffly. On edge for some reason. "You okay?" Albus asks her, "Uhh, I think so." She shrugs. There was an awkward silence. "Well, I actually gotta get going, Dad wants to take me 'for a walk', whatever that means." Albus shrugs and chuckles dryly. "I'll catch up with you two later." Albus attempts to wink but ends up just blinking. He leaves quickly.

Y/N POV
Truth is... I'm not okay... on my way back to the castle from Hagrid's, I got a letter. I haven't looked at it yet, i'm not sure if I want to though, I don't know who it's from, but something tells me it's not good.
"Y/n?" I look to Scorpius, I realise now I've zoned out. "Sorry." I look down to my hands in my lap. he places his hand on top of mine. "It's okay to not be okay, but you need to talk to me," he tells me. "I'm just tired." I say refusing to look at him, I'm not lying though I'm exhausted, I haven't been able to sleep. I take a deep breath. "Lacey's funeral is tomorrow..." I hum. He nods. "I'll be right there with you." he comforts me. 

"I'm gonna go to my dorm... see you later?" I ask him, "Of course." he smiles and I smile back, I get up to leave. "One more things." I turn confused. He cups my cheeks and kisses my forehead. I feel warm and for the first time... calm. "See you later." I nod and head to my dorm. 

Since Lacey died, the dorm has been pretty empty, we all don't exactly like being here anymore. Which is why I knew I'd be alone to read this letter. I take a deep breath and slowly unravel the slightly crinkled letter, my heart races, my gut tells me no, but my mind is too curious. I begin to read.

"Dear Daughter,

I hope you receive my letter. How I have missed you. 
Azkaban has been cold and lonely, bold of them to think they could lock someone like me up forever. You know how strong willed I am. I want us to meet up, rekindle the time we lost.

We have alot of time to make up for darling. Nothing will get in the way of our family anymore. I wont ever be locked away from you again my sweet child. 

I will be at the Hog Heads Inn the coming monday. This will be your only chance to see me. 
I have sacrificed everything for you. You owe me a visit. Your poor dear father misses you. 

I will see you soon dear.

I throw the letter in my bad. Mixed feelings swell in my soul. My father... I don't even think he should be out... He should still be locked up. He doesnt love me. He harmed me, but he wants to see me, fix things? I have 3 days to make up my mind. I feel like I may be sick.

Trying to get back into writing!!! I got into Uni!!! so before that starts up I'll be attempting to write again.
