Wilbur paced anxiously as he waited for Tommy to come to work. Luckily, Phil was out patrolling, so he and Techno had the perfect opportunity to talk to Tommy about the vigilante stuff. The elevator dinged, and Tommy stepped out, only looking a little better than he had the last time Wilbur had seen him. His arm was still broken, wrapped in a cast, and he was still littered with bruises. The bruises where he had been choked were beginning to fade.

Wilbur wrapped Tommy in another hug, and Tommy awkwardly wrapped his good arm around Wilbur.

"Is this why you wanted me to come in so badly? Because you're fucking clingy?" Tommy said into Wilbur's chest.

"No! You're here because we need to talk." The light atmosphere of the room was quickly dampened by that, Tommy getting himself out of Wilburs grasp.

"Talk about what?" Tommy knew what they had to talk about, Wilbur knew that, but he understood why Tommy was so anxious about it.

Wilbur sighed, "How about we have some tea first? I'll go get Technoblade." With that, the pink-haired man walked in with his face buried in a book.

"Techno!" Technoblade turned his attention to Wilbur, who motioned at Tommy. Techno sighed and put his book down and walked over to the couch. Wilbur motioned for Tommy to follow Techno and went to go make some tea.

Tommy sat awkwardly on the side of the couch opposite Technoblade. They sat in silence for a moment, it was horribly uncomfortable but they worried that the conversation would be worse.

"So. you're a vigilante?" Techno said he was never the most graceful person when it came to important talks.

"Yeah, I uh- Sorry for not telling you I just-"

"It's fine, well, it's not fine but I just have a question for you, Theseus."

Tommy shuttered at the use of his real name, in contexts like these it never meant anything good. He wondered if he was going to lose Techno, Phil, and Wilbur. He hoped not.

"Yeah?"

"Why did you take this job?" Techno was looking Tommy in the eyes now, his red eyes searching for any hint of dishonesty.

"I needed the money." He might as well be honest, Tommy knew how this must look to Techno. A vigilante trying to get close to the heroes looked really really bad . "Illegal crime-fighting doesn't really pay well. Or at all."

Techno hummed and turned away, and Tommy let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. Technos gaze was turned to the ground.

"I don't have a... great history with vigilantes." He admitted, "Two of them are the reason I don't have biological parents."

Oh. Tommy suddenly felt guilty. He shouldn't be having this conversation, he was a liar, Tommy didn't have the right to know about this.
