W I N T E R

Buzz...buzz...buzz.

"Ughh..." I groaned as I rolled to the other side of the bed to grab my phone.

"Hello?" I groaned in a groggy voice.

"Hey honey!" My mom chirped. "Don't tell me you're still asleep?" My mom asked over the phone.

"I was." I admitted as a yawn escaped my lips.

"I'm sorry to Interrupt your sleep but I sent Rachel over with a breakfast tray for you and Leo. So you need to get up and set the table for the both of you." My mom instructed.

"Alright mom."

"Also I sent a couple of groceries."

"Okay mom."

"Winter do need help over at your new house? I'm coming over later so I want to know if I should contact a housekeeping agency or not." She asked.

"A bunch of staffs will be necessary, I obviously can't clean the whole house on my own." I said as a matter of fact.

"Alright. Love you!"

"Love you too mom."

I sighed before dragging myself from my bed, I brushed my teeth then took a shower and got dressed before Rachel would come.

As if on cue, my phone buzzed and it was Rachel.

"Come open your door, Mrs!" Rachel yelled over the phone.

I rushed outside to open the door to see an ecstatic Rachel.

"Hey Mrs!" She beamed.

"Rach!" I engulfed her in a hug.

"It's alright, I brought breakfast," She raised her hand to showcase the basket. "Where's Leo?" She looked around.

"I don't know," I walked away from the door to lead her to the dining room.

"Don't tell me you guys are still not able to stand each other?!" She sighed.

"He's such a dick!" I complained. "Do you know, he brou-"

"Morning." Leonardo greeted before reaching the dining room.

"Morning Leo!" Rachel hugged him. "I'll be on my way now, I have work." She looked back at me.

"You just got here!" I groaned.

"But now, you have company." She eyed Leonardo.

"Don't worry, I'll take care of her." Leonardo smirked and I rolled my eyes.

Why's he acting sweet? Is it because of last night?

"Love you!" Rachel kissed my cheek.

"Love you more." I responded before she walked out of the house in a hurry.

I turned my gaze from the door to Leonardo who looked back at me.

"Now what did my mother bring?" He looked at the wrapped basket.

I rolled my eyes and loosened the ribbon from the basket. I opened the wrapper to look at what was inside.

It contained warm waffles, pancakes, a little syrup bottle, a bunch of fruits, imported coffee beans, a jar of orange juice, croissants, sausages and toast.

How did she expect both of us to eat so much food?

"Coffee?" I asked.

"Nah," He shook his head. "I'll just have this." He pointed at the orange juice.

I headed to the kitchen to grab two empty plates and glasses and placed them on the dining table. Leonardo took both waffles and pancakes then poured orange juice into the cup. I just took two sandwiches and sausages.

We ate in silence but at least we didn't kill each other.

"Leonardo," I called and he looked up.

"I understand what our relationship is but bringing a girl to the house your mom gave us as a wedding gift is wrong and disrespectful to me. You can have fun with whoever you want but don't bring them to the house." I explained in a calm tone.

"What?" He looked confused. "Oh you mean I-"

"I don't care what that whore is called." I interrupted him. "We had an agreement but that doesn't mean I will let you disrespect me." I firmly told him.

"First of all, her name is Iris." He stuck out his index finger.

"Two, don't ever refer to her as a whore." He stuck out his next finger.

"And finally," He stuck out his third finger. "I wouldn't stoop so low as to bring another woman to this house, I won't disrespect my mother in such a way." He answered back.

"Don't be rude, I just wanted to lay out my thoughts." I warned.

"You were the one that started with the name calling." He defended.

"Only because you brought someone here without telling me!" I slammed my hand on the table and got up.

"Winte-"

"Just shut up." I warned before stomping to my room.

Just as I was about to enter my room, I noticed a little box on the floor of my room. I picked it up and opened it. It was a heart shaped pendant and necklace.

"A wedding gift," A strange voice echoed in the corridor.

I turned to see the girl from last night but in a clearer light, grinning.

"Are you mocking me?" I scoffed.

Her grin froze, "What?" She asked.

"You're really bold, but what can I expect from someone whose an acquaintance with that bastard?" I started.

"I think you're misunder-"

"Misunderstanding?" I laughed hysterically but turned my face straight afterwards. "Keep your gift you little slut." I covered the box and threw it on the floor.

"Hey, don't you speak to my sister like that!" Another voice echoed and a brunette ran towards the other one.

"Oh?" I gasped. "There's two of you?" I asked but didn't give them a chance to respond. "Did you say sister?" I eyed the both of them. "Two sisters sharing one man? A married man? You both are whores? Does it run in the family? I bet all your siblings are whores too. Disgusti-"

"Shut up Winter!" Leonardo yelled before running towards the girls like he was shielding them. "How dare you ju-." He raised his hand almost reaching my cheek.

"Leo no!" One of the girls yelled causing his hand to freeze in the air.

I gasped and as a reflex action, I stepped back shielding myself.

He dropped his hand then looked at it then at me, a look of regret filled his eyes.

"I'm sorry Win-" He moved towards me.

"Stay away from me!" I yelled before running back into my room.
