"They found this in your locker." Teddy says handing me a pink envelope, "I thought you might wanna have that." He says.

It was the envelope that Kia gave me yesterday to read. She told me not to read it until after the day was over. I kept it in my locker so I would remember to get it at the end of the day.

"Thank you." I say grabbing it from him. I was sitting beside Kia. She was still unconscious.

"Your welcome. I actually want to talk to you." He says grabbing a seat beside me. Kia's mother was gone at the moment, and said she would be back later.

I haven't left this hospital since we got here and I don't plan to leave. Patrick brought all my things last night so until she wakes up I'll be staying here.

"What is it."

"Ive been having a bad feeling.. I've never in my life had to endure so much stress, and pain. The loss of Luke was sad I admit, but the fact that 45 students were killed and half of them I knew just doesn't sit right with me." He says whole heartedly.

I understood what he meant. The amount of death that's been lingering has been devastating. This new year definitely didn't bring joy.

"Me either."

"I don't know what I'm going to do. I don't know how to stop this." He says.

"I didn't tell y'all yet because of Kia, but somethings off....." I say.

"Be more clear."

"Somethings are not adding up. Nate shot Jovian. But I was talking Jovian down. His gun was hanging low when I last laid eyes on him. Why would he just up and decide to try and shoot me. I don't understand." I say still trying to piece the information together.

"Nate told my father he found the gun in a room where Jovian was keeping ammunition. He said he was trying to find a way out when he saw y'all. He said Jovian tried to shoot you so he then shot Jovian." Teddy explains.

"Mmmm. I don't know man. Jovian said someone told him to kill her so his moms transplant would be paid for." I say. Then an idea comes to my mind.

"Teddy let's go." I say standing up.

"Wait. What? Your telling me someone tried to kill her on purpose! Why?" He says.

"If Jovian is right then I need to see if his mother is here in the hospital. If she's not here then it's a lie. If she's here under the condition he told me then someone really did try and kill Kia." I say pushing past him.

"Even so. Say it is true you won't know who it was."

"Yeah I will." I say shocking him.

"How?"

"The medical bill receipt. Whoever paid for it has to be the one." I say.

I usher pass the police that were guarding Kia's door with Teddy behind me. I walk to the medical desk to a young nurse whose taken a liking to me since yesterday. Her name was Kate.

"Hi Emilio. What can I get for you." She says flashing a huge smile.

"I need to know if you know a Jovian Baker." I say to her. She lowers her eyes then her eyes sadden.
