I was just pulling into school grounds and into my parking space. It was Monday morning, which meant the weekend was over and time to face reality.

I woke up Sunday morning thinking that Saturday was a dream and I was imagining myself with the Italian man himself, but my beautiful wake up text I got from Emilio was enough to tell me that it indeed was all real.

I was officially Emilio's girlfriend and the title felt amazing as I repeated it over and over again in my head. I couldn't get enough of it, and the feeling was so amazing that I still felt the tingle of butterflies in my stomach with each time I said it.

Emilio stopped by my house Sunday to give me one of his hoodies that smelled just like him. Of course I accepted it with open arms and gratefulness. He didn't get to stay though due to sudden plans that occurred, so he dropped it off while passing through.

So I spent my Sunday going to church then staying home doing some work for my Calculus class. Once I was done I received about five messages from the ladies in a group chat. I decided to invite the girls over and tell them about me and Emilio. Let's just say that my relationship was placed under a bet.

"I told you Mak! I believe you owe me $20 now." Emmy said to Mak as we all sat on my couch after I told them me and Emilio were dating and how it all happened.

"What do you mean she owes you $20?" I question, confused by the whole ordeal.

"Well...we kinda betted on you guys. She said y'all would get together before homecoming and I thought y'all would after." Mak says slowly and hesitantly.

"Are you guys serious! Why would y'all do that?" I say getting a little upset. I mean it's not a big deal but I hate the feeling of my friends betting on my chances with a guy. It's just weird..

"Because Kia we already knew both of y'all had feelings for each other. It was sooo obvious. And why the hell would I pass up an opportunity to make some money. Mak made the bet in the first place." Emmy says pointing at Mak.

"Shut up!" Mak says gruffly and throws a middle finger towards Emmy as we all laugh lightening my mood.

I guess it was pretty funny.

"I'm so glad y'all are together!" Imani says beside me. I thank her as I take a sip of my water I just grabbed from the fridge, I was happy we were together too.

"He even gave you a hoodie and it hasn't even been a full day! It took Justice two damn weeks to give up his favorite hoodie, that damn bastard.. now he never gets it back." Amber says as she tugs on the hoodie that belongs to Justice that she's currently wearing.

We all laughed and chit chatted for the rest of the day. It was great talking to my girls. They made me feel more confident about being in this relationship with Emilio.

And that's exactly what I needed.

I was currently wearing the light grey Patriots hoodie which of course wasn't my favorite team but since it was Emilio's and it smelled like him I was gonna wear it all the time no matter what team was on it.
