"Your parents are so rude. They don't have any respect for you or Alexis. What are they even arguing about in the first place?" Shaylia says as she takes another bite of her sandwich as I continue to put dishes away.

"I don't know. But all I know is, is if i can't get any sleep then I'm staying at your house." I say as I tiredly walk to the shelf to put the bowls away.

Last night was hell for me. The constant yelling match between my parents almost made me leave to spend the night with Amber. But I knew I couldn't leave my baby sister their by herself. It would be selfish of me to just leave and let her be by herself.

I was super pissed at my parents for their immaturity. They not only are causing a ruckus but their also not taking my baby sisters feelings in consideration.

What if she woke up to see her parents arguing like wild animals? Her little heart would be broken and that's something I just couldn't stand to see. I knew I needed to have a talk with them soon because I didn't know how much longer I could take their petty arguments that kept disturbing my sleep.

"You know my house is always open to you and her but now that I'm pregnant and I have Matt's father living with us my house is never quiet." She says obviously annoyed with her new house guest.

"It's ok. Thank you. I think I might just stay with a friend." I say knowing Amber wouldn't mind me and Alexis crashing at her house.

"I'm sorry. Do you need me to talk to them? You know since me and your mom are friends I can give her the what for." She insists.

"Tempting but I'm sure I'll be in trouble for even telling you, id rather keep this between us." I say continuing to put the dishes away.

She sighs, "Alright. Can't say I tried." I laugh and continue.

It was Friday night and I had to work till nine tonight. The game tonight was away and as much as I wanted to support Emilio I've missed a lot of my long Friday hours, and my paycheck hasn't been the best. I had a truck payment and I had only half of it saved. To be honest I was slacking so I made sure that I worked tonight.

"Alright Kia. I'm leaving it will be you and Tori working till close, but starting Monday we will have another person here." She says grabbing her things.

New person? I scrunch my eyebrows, curious as to who it was. For the past few months it's only been five workers here and to my senses we wasn't  gonna hire anyone else.

"Who?"

"He's autistic. His name is Jessie. I know his family he's a sweet kid. I'm just hoping I can be patient with him." She says huffing. "Mom hired him. He will do most of the cleaning, so that'll be a load off of you."

I nod and smile. I've never worked with an autistic kid before but I'm excited. I knew patients would be for the most part all of our problems but I could manage. Maybe he won't be so bad.

My five hours went by quickly due to the amount of customers we had, Tori mainly stayed in the restroom the whole time claiming she didn't feel well so I was mostly on my own the entire night.

"Bye." I say to her as she starts locking up the store. I didn't wait to hear her goodbye, if she even said one, and walked to my truck feeling exhausted as ever. I was exhausted and I was thankful that I was off tomorrow.

I text Emilio a quick "good luck" message even though I knew he wouldn't see it and another message to Amber asking for the score update.

I was about to pull out when my phone started ringing. I looked down at my phone to see a familiar number. It was the same unknown caller whom called me the night Emilio texted me and the night we almost kissed. This is the second time it's called me since then.
