Kia
"He came to your house?" Amber questioned as we walked down the hallway to the lunch room. Me and Amber spent the whole weekend at Imanis house practicing for dance auditions next Tuesday. We pretty much got it figured out but we still needed to practice this week some to be fully prepared.
When I got home Sunday night I got a surprise when I walked into my room. In my room were a thing of white roses and a card reading, "I miss you and I'm sorry." My mom told me Emilio came by on Friday when I was gone and on Saturday. I felt a firework sensation when she told me but I just nodded and went about my business.
Next week I would be trying out for the dance team and I needed to spend as much time with Imani and Amber as much as possible since Imani is already team captain.
"Yea." I say as we enter the lunchroom. Emilio was sitting at the table and so was Teddy and Justice. Lately I've been just sitting with Mak and Emmy but I decided to sit over with them today.
"Are y'all gonna make up now. Teddy won't stop pestering me about if you will make up with him." Imani says as we get in line.
"I don't know yet. I know he's hiding something...I just want to know what it is." I say feeling frustrated that I feel like this.
"Kia you don't know that and you acting like this isn't gonna make the "supposed" truth come out any time soon." Imani states, my eyes were on Emilio who had earbuds in as he ate his food diligently.
My heart clenched and I started to feel guilty. Maybe I was wrong, I can't just keep acting like this just because I have a hunch. Plus, I missed him terribly and I wanted to be with him. His championship game was this Friday and I wanted them to do good, him to do good.
"Your right." They both look at me confused at what I blurted out.
"Huh?" Amber says.
"Y'all are right, I shouldn't be like this, that's why I'll reconcile today." I say.
"Yayy! No more awkwardness or plans to try and get y'all to make up." Amber relives.
"Shut up." I say, they grab their food while I wait patiently and then we walk over to the table. Emilio's back was facing toward me as I sat down in the seat beside him. He hasn't noticed my appearance so I put my chin on his shoulder peering over his shoulder.
He was looking for a song but he turned his head and was met with me. I give him a small grin and his eyes widen.
"Kia!" He exclaims turning around.
"Ciao" i say in Italian. He grins and pulls me into a breath taking hug. Literally. I patted his back giving him a sign that I'm dying and he lets go.
"I missed you, and I'm so sorry baby. Please don't be mad at me anymore, I don't know if I'll live any longer without you." He pleads.
I giggle at his exaggeration, "I'm fine, I was just mad about a useless thing." I say.
"No you were right. I said let's not talk to her and I went and did. But I promise you I was just making it final that I want you and not her." He says.
I touch his face where some stubble was growing where he hasn't shaved. "Emilio have you been okay?" I ask wanting know if he's okay.
His eyes shrink and his head sinks into my hand. "I've been stressed a little." He says.
"I can tell." I say I kiss his forehead.
"Ugh, I've missed you." He says hugging my waist, I smile over his shoulder and I look up and see Hailey's deep glare at me.
