Chapter Ten.

Promise's pov;

blake asked me to meet him outside at sundown.
i slipped on my coat, jogging down the steps of the front porch.
"hey, beautiful." he said when i noticed him, and he reached out and grabbed my hand.
"hey." i said, smiling as he kissed me on the forehead. "What are we doing?" i asked.
"finally getting some alone time." he chuckled, taking my hand as he led me into the empty house.
i laughed also, trailing behind him as he dragged me by the hand.
he swung the door open, closing it behind me after i entered.
he leaned in closer, until my back was pressed against the door.
"hi." i giggled at the awkward statement, pressing my hands against his chest.
"hi." he replied back, before pressing his lips to mine.
he lifted me up, and i wrapped my legs around his waist.
i chuckled, pulling away from the kiss before i wrapped my arms around his neck.
he walked down the hallway, swinging the door to one of the bedrooms open, before kicking it closed behind him lightly with his foot.
he dropped me on the bed and i laughed, as he sat down beside me.
i layed down on my back, my head against the pillow.
blake layed down beside me, and i looked over at him.
"i love you." he said quietly.
"i love you too." i smiled.
"blake?"
"yea?"
"will you promise me something?" i asked, biting my lip.
"of course."
"will you always be there for me?"
"of course i will. i swear. i would say i promise, but thats your name."
i chuckled at his goofy response, shaking my head.
"anyway, yes. i will always be there for you."
he grabbed my hand, holding it tightly in between his.
he traced a circle around my ring finger, and i looked at him with a confused expression.
"pretend its an invisible promise ring. one that says i promise that i will always be here for you, no matter what." he smiles cheekily, and i giggle.
i press my lips to his, and he rolls over, now on top of me.
i chuckle against his lips, running my hand along his cheek.
one thing led to another, and i was pulling off his shirt.
i then sat up, and he pulled off mine too.
i felt the red flush across me cheek, and i chuckled.

blake and i lay together under the covers, his arms wrapped tightly around mine.
i bury my head in his chest, and he rubs his hand up and down my back.
he kissed the top of my head.
he started humming quietly, and soon after i fell asleep in his arms.
