Her desires were trapped in the dungeon of her parents' expectations. She escaped for a little time  only to eventually get caught and put back in her palace. Unfortunately, her knight and shining armor didn't rescue her from her despair. He went to get breakfast for the group. Missing her bitter unfinished ending.

Mike was waiting for her near the car as she packed the things she did accumulate. Anna decided to meet at the airport with the rest of her things. Kiara ambled out of the house with only her small bag and withering pride. It saddens them that she has to go but time waits for no one. They said their goodbyes with quick hugs and shedding tears. Kiara got in the car staring at their glum faces. Her heart couldn't take it as a heavy sigh escaped her lips.

"I don't understand why I have to go, I did nothing wrong." She complained to her father as he started to drive off.

"Well it's your mother's decision."

She looked at him, "What about yours? She's not the only parent in charge of me last time I checked."

He was tentative with his answer, "We both think you've got out of hand. We just want the best for you."

"Dragging me away from the only people that I feel comfortable with to somewhere that I don't? Wow, I love the parenting skills, dad."

"Listen, you think this was easy? We tried giving you the benefit of the doubt and all you did was prove us wrong every time."

She was dumbfounded, "Me!? All y'all ever did was control me. Did you ever in your life stop and think why I am the way I am? Why I hate living there?"

She tried her best to give them the daughter they wanted but she realized that her life and well-being mattered more. It was a shame they couldn't see that.

"I felt trapped. I felt alone. I wanted to give you guys everything that you asked but what is even all of that if I'm not happy? Huh?"

He could hear the pain in her words but he kept driving. Suppressing the hidden guilt.

"So if you truly wanted the 'best' for me, then this wouldn't even be happening." She faced away, not letting him see the tear that suddenly streamed down her cheek, "But I guess that's rich people things with their fancy cars and diamond rings."

JJ arrived to the château. He hummed light tunes carrying the bags up the stairs.

"Howdy my amigos, I have brought your delicious cuisine." He greeted, stepping foot through the door.

He noticed their long faces and quiet attitudes. He looked between them and didn't seem to see Kiara either.

"Where's Kie?"

"She left." Sarah said, quietly.

"She just up and left?"

"Pretty much, her dad stopped by and said she needed to go." Pope answered.

"She really wanted to say goodbye to you, J" Sarah added.

He couldn't believe it. The one thing going right was soonly falling harder than the asteroids coming to the earth. And he didn't even get to say goodbye. JJ set the bags down on the table.

"Do you know where she would be?"

"Probably the airport." Cleo said, grabbing the bags.

"Thank you." He rushed out of the house taking out the keys to his bike.

He hopped on starting it up quickly. Nothing else in the world matters if he doesn't see her because living with that conscience could be the end for both of them.

Mike and Kiara got out of the car. She stared up at the huge building feeling her stomach churn. It doesn't feel real and honestly she doesn't want it to be. Her eyes lids feathered for a moment to keep her tears at bay.

Anna came up behind her, setting her hand on her shoulder, "This is only temporary, you know this."

"No, I don't think I do." She mumbled, shrugging away from her grasp.

JJ raced down the street on the highest mile he could reach. Time was ticking and he was certain he wasn't going to make it but miracles tend to happen with them. Adrenaline was fuming and nerves were pumping. The sight of the airport put a hopeful smile on his face. He swerved into the parking lot.

Being in a hurry he didn't stop to take the keys out. His eyes wandered eagerly around seeing many unfamiliar faces. He jogged inside with many more moving bodies and their luggage. His breaths were heavy and his heart was racing. All he could think about was losing her. That she got on that plane and fly away forever. And there was no way in a zillion years he would let that happen.

JJ walked through the crowd. He turned his head letting out a relieved sigh. There she was standing in the back of the line. Her eyes were low while she looked around like a sad lost puppy.

"Kie!" He called, approaching her.

He could tell she heard him as she picked her head up slightly.

"Kiara!" He said again, getting closer.

Her eyes followed where her ears could hear. The brightest smile covered her entire face once she dropped her bags and stepped out of line. Anna and Mike tried to stop her but she was already gone. She fled to her dashing prince meeting halfway. JJ wrapped his arms around her waist as tightly as he could. Hers draped around his neck burying her face in between.

"I didn't think I'd see you again."

"Then you clearly don't know me well enough."

She pulled away a bit totally fixated on him, "I love you, J."

He gave her a toothy grin, "And I am madly in love with you, Kie."

They leaned in feeling the pillowy and silken softness of each other's lips. Her parents were almost wiped of complete shock. Time felt slow with him pulling her close and her fingers carding through his hair. It was magical.

They pulled away slowly.

"Nothing to lose?"

"Nothing to lose."

She kissed him again before stepping back, releasing her arms. JJ managed to grab one of them trailing down his hand as she went further. Kiara mouthed 'I love you' one last time as he did the same. Eventually their hands met which they held onto for a little longer.

Before they could imagine, she was with her parents going off to their collateral sacrifice.

They craved, they valued and they caught the feeling of each other's melodies. One day they will reunite with nothing in their way. Their hearts lie between the stars and the farthest milky ways from the galaxy.
