Reynolds Leywin POV:

I love both my sons. What else can I say? Both of them are so cute and handsome! Well, that is to be given seeing that they got my genes! I remember how my beautiful wife facepalmed herself after seeing how curious those two are. 

They would just disappear from sight! I am planning on training the two if they awaken as augmenters, and am already looking forward to it. Alice scolded me a lot, how can I expect them to awaken as 3-year-olds? Average humans awaken at the age of 12, even the genius elves rarely awaken before 6.  

I am an ex B- rank adventurer and have a light red core. I hope to train both of them and have them reach the orange core, perhaps even the yellow core in the future! As usual, I was training in the backyard. My core level has been stuck for several years and I have long shifted focus on developing techniques instead of purifying the core. 

I dropped to the ground as I panted hard, I was out of breath already. I had been seeing a great drop in my stamina compared to my old self. Just then, I saw my lovely wife coming out of the house with a basket hanging from her left arm. A weary smile came out as I got up. Alice was saying something as she gave me an apple...

BOOM!

I knocked the basket out of her arm and embraced her before spinning, exposing my back to the house. I hoped to cover as much of her body as possible, I wasn't a conjurer capable of creating shields after all. The debris of the house hit my back hard. 

When the explosion seemed to be over, I asked my wife, "Are you okay?" She nodded her head before yelling, "Oh no the kids!" Her yelling seemed to cause my brain to kickstart. I removed my arms from her as I shot towards my now destroyed house. 

I kept on running until I reached what looked like was the centre of the explosion. "Impossible" leaked out of my mouth as I looked on.

Arthur Leywin POV:

Great. Incredible. Amazing.

All these words seem to perfectly describe what I was feeling.

I never imagined that my awakening would feel so great. I closed my eyes to sense my new mana core. My mana core! Oh, what I'll do in the future with this...

"ART! JUDE! MY BABIES!! Are you both okay?"

I opened my eyes to see our mother rushing towards us while our dad was kneeling on the ground. Did he do something to get punished by my mom again? 

Our mom picked both of us up and hugged us, hard. Even with a mana core, the rest of my body was still that of a baby. I struggled to breathe from her hard hug as Jude managed to whimper, "What happened Mom?"

She didn't answer and just hugged us even harder, something I thought was impossible. Finally, our dad got up from the ground and patted mother's shoulder, "Honey, they both are fine for now but they will suffocate if you continue!" as he took out a cheeky grin. 

Mom finally seemed to calm down and put us down. "Mom, what hap..." Jude patted my shoulder as I started speaking. I looked at him, only to see him pointing his finger around us. I turned my body around as I took in our surroundings. Our house, our house was gone! 

"Awakening of mana core causes the mana in the surroundings to go violent and can cause explosions" dad explained to the both of us, "however, I have never ever seen such a powerful explosion from awakening. Not only that..." he leaned in closer to us, "to awaken at such a young age as well."

"We are geniuses," Jude said as he crossed his tiny arms. I crossed my arms and nodded my head in agreement. Both mom and dad laughed as they saw our actions. "Well now, we will only know your true talent in training," dad said with a devious smile on his face which sent shivers down my spine.
