Cordelia POV:
'Hmm, the mission said to overthrow the king specifically.' I thought as the gears inside my head started to turn.
'The symbol of power for a king is their crown..' a smirk appeared on my face, 'or their throne.'
My gaze turned towards the pitch black throne. I moved towards it before inspecting it to make their weren't any traps.
Rushed footsteps of the elves quickly came to earshot as they all rushed inside. They were all still on guard but looked more relaxed even though many of them had serious injuries.
Arion came out from the group and asked in a shaky voice, "Y-you succeeded right?"
I nodded my head before flashing them a smile.
Thunderous applause erupted as the elves jumped in joy, tears steaming down everyone's faces.
'They deserve this,' I thought before announcing, "I am going to get Sophie so that we can coronate her."
"Cordelia, it may be impudent for me to ask you for this, but please wait as the coronation process requires time and cannot be done instantly."
Although every pore of my body was itching to quickly rush this and get my reward, I decided to calm down and simply said, "I understand, but please complete this as fast as possible."
He nodded his head and the elves quickly moved to work.
The rest of the hours moved in a blur as they quickly got the palace ready for the coronation, requiring minimal input from me.
I knocked on the door before entering. In front of me, a serene Sophie was getting dressed as the new queen. While her dress wasn't flashy like the nobles, it held its own style that accentuated her natural beauty.
The white fabric blended well with her pale skin. She was breathtaking.
"You look beautiful," I told her truthfully as she dismissed her attendants.
"Thank you Cordelia," she gave me smile before continuing, "Honestly, I don't know how I can even thank you for everything you did for us. You defeated the Chamrior King and avenged my loved ones and now you are also supporting me become the Queen. It was all because of you."
"It was not just me," I said as I shook my head, "You wouldn't be here if you gave up resisting. It was your will that made this all possible."
"T-thank you, Cordelia," she hiccupped as tears started to form inside her eyelids. I quickly closed the distance and wiped them away and scolded her, "Don't cry, you'll ruin the makeup they put on you!"
"Hehe," she giggled lightly before pulling me into a hug. A serious expression appeared on her face as we both separated.
I nodded my head as I led her out.
In front of the thousands of elves who resisted the tyrant's rule, Sophie walked up the stairs to her rightful throne. The black throne had turned white after being purified by the World Tree, making it a perfect match for her.
The only sound made in the hallway was the sound of her steps as she slowly ascended to the throne before sitting down. The elves, too starstruck by her elegance, quickly got out of their trance and clapped and cheered for her.
"I, the eldest elf, crown Princess Sophie as the new Queen of the Elves. All hail Queen Sophie!"
"All hail Queen Sophie! All hail Queen Sophie! All hail Queen Sophie!"
A proud smile appeared on my face as I looked at Sophie's poise and confidence to have a straight face when subjected to such cheer.
Alert: Mission Completed!
An orb appeared out of thin air as the alert popped in front of me. I caught the orb with my hand before injecting some aether into it.
I made quick progress but quickly hit a wall.
'As expected, its not easy to get another Godrune.'
'For now, this is enough,' I turned away from the cheering elves and exited the trial designed by Uriel.
(A/N: The Forest Arc is over. Next is going to be Jude's comeback as well as another power spike during the second relictomb they will have. Arthur's own power spike will also come sometime in the future. )
