𝓘 had just finished packing my school bag for the ensuing day, my first day of attending the infamous E-Class at my school, Kunigigaoka Junior High. I dressed into something a little more comfortable and slipped into my warm, comfortable bed, setting my phone down on my nightstand and allowing myself to succumb to the darkness, resting my two hands on my chest and letting out a long, yet quiet sigh. I felt nervous, constantly tossing and turning in my bed as I endeavored to get some shut-eye. However, despite my best efforts, it was futile. I sat up in bed and looked out the dim window, the lights of my town being easily visible through my second-story apartment window. It was a warm night, although quite cloudy. The stars in the sky were precluded from my view, my mind racing with thoughts about how the following day would play out. Unfortunately, there was no way out of that class once you were dropped into it, or so I'm told. Once you're in there, that's it, you're done. It crushed me a little, but I held onto the minuscule hope I had left. My eyes grew heavy as I found myself falling back down on my pillow, my eyes closing soon thereafter as I drifted off to sleep, my mind still retaining my previous thoughts as everything around me went blank.

I awoke in a black void, quickly having to recover from my sleeping position. I looked around and felt a little uncomfortable from the lack of anything around me, but another thing struck me the instant my mouth had opened to mutter something; my voice was gone. I couldn't say a word, nor make a sound. I looked underneath my feet and noticed something had formed... a path of some kind? Not really having anywhere else to go, I decided to follow it. After a few minutes of walking down the path, a city began to grow. Not just any city, I came to realize; it was my hometown, Kunugigaoka. I was a little confused at first, wondering what I was doing here before I felt a rather sharp pain in my hand. I jumped up from shock and saw a spider bite, the mark quickly jutting out before eventually disappearing altogether. I tilted my head lightly in bewilderment before I blinked, now finding myself sticking on the side of a rather tall building. I held on for dear life, my fear overpowering my thoughts. However, I wasn't falling miraculously. In my state of panic, I hadn't noticed that I was wearing a suit of some kind... some kind of black spandex with a blue web-like pattern on it. Not just that, but there was a large light-blue spider emblem implanted on it, right on my chest. My head tilted slightly before everything began to get all fuzzy and blurry, and it made my head hurt. Something tingled in my head, and I felt the sudden urge to look behind me. I slowly turned my head and saw a rather tall human dressed in a creepy green elf costume, flying around on a weaponized metallic board, I'm not sure it was very challenging to make out. "Can the Spider-Man come out to play?!", I heard him yell in a sinister, yet creepy voice. Yet despite the oddity of it, I recognized it from somewhere. The spikes on the front of his board protruded out, then aimed his flight straight into me. My body was frozen, and I couldn't do anything else but shut my eyes tightly and attempt to scream.

I shot up in bed drenched in a cold sweat, finding myself screaming. I stopped and darted my eyes around my sunlight-flooded room. I breathed a sigh of relief at my nightmare, finally taking note of my phone's alarm going off next to me. "7:30 AM", the screen read. I shut off the alarm and lightly stretched my body, trying to get the events of my dream out of my head. I quickly pulled on my grey pants, white shirt, and a blue vest, looking at myself in the mirror and studying my features, then tied my light-blue shoulder-length hair back into a ponytail. My unfortunately long hair was a result of my mom's constant and desperate attempts to make me look as feminine as possible, despite in fact being a boy. After washing up, I went downstairs to see my mom already getting ready to leave for work. "Morning, sweetie," she greeted with a smile, a small smile growing on my face as I replied with a soft nod. Her appearance was similar to mine, short, petite, and a face shaped almost like mine. Her hair was on the shorter side, sporting a navy-blue color. Although she did look very pretty, her personality was... really one to be reckoned with. "H-hey, mom," I answered as she grabbed her purse and car keys, seeing her directing my gaze over to the kitchen. "I made some breakfast if you want to get something to eat before you head to school. Although, I am still severely disappointed in you for getting yourself into that class full of rejects. E-Class, was it called? However, don't worry, we'll find a way to get you back into D-Class with the normal students". I couldn't find any words to reply to her with before I heard her open the door and walk outside. "I'll see you tonight, okay? Don't get yourself into any trouble," She said to me, closing the door behind her as I was left alone in our apartment complex with my thoughts. I gave a light sigh before walking over to the kitchen and getting myself a glass of orange juice, placing whatever my mom had left on the stove onto a small plate, and eating the contents of it before quickly putting all my dishes into the sink and putting whatever I didn't eat into a container and then into the fridge. I grabbed my school bag and turned off the lights, opening the front door and walking out into the warm spring morning. I gave one last sigh before closing the door behind me, walking down the steps to the apartment complex, and hastily speed-walked towards Kunugigaoka station, hoping I wouldn't be late. I looked up into the now sunny morning sky to see the moon, barely beginning to disappear behind the horizon as I lightly smiled.
