𝓑efore I had even realized it, a week had already passed since Class-E's newest teacher had blown up a huge chunk of Earth's moon. It was Thursday that day, and we were finally almost going to reach the end of the first week of Korosensei teaching our classroom.
Normally, I'm always excited for the coming weekend at the end of each school week. However, after my date with Kayano the night prior, there was a gross feeling deep inside me. a feeling that no matter how hard I tried to get out of me,It just wouldn't seem to leave.
It drew out some of my memories of almost a month ago. I could almost hear that voice in my dream again, that oh-so-familiar voice...
"Can the Spider-Man come out to play?!...-"
"Nagisa! You still with us?"
I could hear my teacher ask in a stern tone, awakening me from my daydream. I jolted up straight and looked straight at him, nodding softly.
"Y-yeah! I'm here.."
My response was quick, but Korosensei still nodded his head slightly, his face color changing to purple with an "X" over it.
"I get you were sick earlier this week, but I can't let you fall behind! This material is far too important for you to be distracted.", he responded, as I gave a small frown.
"R-right, sorry, I'm just... n-nevermind, don't worry about it," I responded, quickly getting back to writing notes in my composition journal for the upcoming algebra quiz we had the next day.I was barely able to ignore the feeling for most of the day after this, trying my best to stay focused during class. Come lunch, our teacher as usual left the classroom at Mach 20 to eat some carryout in another country. I believe it was South American street food this time.
I had decided to eat my lunch inside the classroom today so I could talk to Karma, Sugino, and Kayano, the two boys being my first real friends in this class, and with Kayano becoming one of the first girls I've ever actually become friends with in general. As we engaged in conversation, I heard Sugino bring up something that caught my attention:
"So guys, did you hear about some research facility exploding last night?"
His question raised my attention from my chat with Kayano and caused me to tilt my head.
"Research facility exploding? Come to think of it, I heard about that from my family's butler, or something like that. Was up later last night getting a drink, and he had the news playing while cleanin' up the living room. The reporter mentioned how there were no survivors of the disaster, and the lead scientist's body was nowhere to be found. He was always into those big mystery stories, though, so his eyes were glued to the screen the whole time. The place was off-limits too, so no one really knows what they were testing there since everything was blown to hell."
Karma's response cleared up the fog circling my head. That's what was triggering that strange feeling I was having, the one I experienced back during the sparring match with Mister Karasuma and at the cafe. It was some kind of sense that warned me of... danger? My body would automatically react to this feeling if the situation called for it. However, I didn't have a name for this new sense I had developed with my powers at the time. I also wasn't certain if my theory was fully accurate., but in my mind, not only were all my senses heightened, but I had even gained an additional one.
Later on in the day came our PE class. Now that Mister Karasuma was teaching us, I honestly began to enjoy the class a bit more. Not only did we work out like usual, but we also had the added bonus of learning how to use the different weapons we were provided with. We all changed into our blue gym outfits and headed toward the field at the back of the campus.
"Now then, boys and girls," our tentacled teacher began, Mister Karasuma standing next to him with his arms crossed.
"I know I'm not supposed to be teaching this class anymore, that falls onto Mister Karasuma. However! Let's begin today's period with something simple. I wanna see where all of you are at in terms of overall performance, and so! I have decided..."
A sudden outburst of wind blew against us, causing my classmates and I to shield our eyes and faces with our hands from the debris.
"to give all of you a timed four-lap jog test around this track! In other words, I want to test how long it will take each of you to run a mile!"
As he finished, we all realized he had come back wearing a jogging outfit, causing my classmates to groan.
"I know, it's no fun for me either, but apparently the school requires this, so just do your best! To make it more rewarding, I'll let all of you take free shots at me! How's that sound?"
His offering didn't do too much to motivate us, but we all got onto the barely visible track anyway.
"Alright everyone, finish this up quickly so we can move on to the actual training for today," Mister Karasuma added, getting a synchronized "Yeah!" from my classmates and me.
