𝓣he whereabouts of our principal went unknown to any student or staff at the school, and his plan or interactions with a private research organization to transform himself into some kind of superhuman wasn't made public until a year or so later.
Upon thinking about it deeper, I believe this research company was a smaller and basically unrecognized branch of an American scientific corporation named Oscorp, which also ran off its funding. The rest of the day was slow and uneventful, although I had to admit that the memories of Karma's stunt from earlier had definitely stuck with me.

"Hey Nagisa, how was your day today? Do you have any plans for tomorrow?" a soft and feminine voice asked from behind me.  I lifted my head from packing my schoolbag and turned toward the source of the voice, seeing Kaede.
"Ah, heya, Kayano. It was alright, my old friend Karma attempted something pretty stupid today, but that's always been his nature I suppose."
"However, I don't think I'm gonna do anything tomorrow. Why, what's up?" I responded softly, seeing her brown eyes glisten a bit. "O-oh, well I well uhm.."
I noticed a blush beginning to creep up on her face.
"Well, I just wanted to know if you'd wanna hang out tomorrow. A-as friends of course! There's this new cafe that opened up not too far from the school, and the moon-shattering delayed its opening by a few days! It's supposed to open tomorrow and I was wondering if maybe... you'd wanna... go with me to check it out?"

It took me a few seconds to process what the girl asked me. She was asking someone who up till yesterday was the most uninteresting person at this school, to hang out with her. The feeling from my heart was tingly, and it was something that I hadn't really ever felt before in my life until that point. Before I could even think of a response, I heard myself shout the words:
"Of course! That sounds like it would be a lot of fun!"
I took a second to realize what I had just said, but this was probably the only chance I could awkwardly hang out with a girl, so I stuck with it.
"G-great! Let me give you my number so we can stay in touch."
She tore out a piece of paper from her notebook and wrote it down, folding it neatly and handing it to me.
"See you tomorrow, Nagisa! Don't be afraid to text me!", she giggled as she joined up with the other girls in class on their way out. There were only a few boys left in class and their eyes were all on me, including Korosensei, and the situation made me extremely flustered.

"Well, well, well, Nagisa, I didn't know you were such a lady's man", I heard Karma's taunting voice say from behind me.
"S-shut up, Karma.." I replied embarrassingly, looking up at Korosensei.
"That's the spirit, Nagisa!", he cheered, already dressed up in a cheerleader outfit, "Go show Kaede the best pudding she'll ever have!"
The rest of the boys in the class, such as Sugino, all relayed positive messages toward me, which to be quite honest, boosted my mood a bit. "Thanks, guys, all of you", I responded with a smile. "I just can't believe that there's actually a girl that's genuinely interested in me... I hope."

Later that day, Karma, Sugino, and I walked home together discussing random topics that were on our minds. Sugino Tomohito was one of the plainer guys in E-Class if I had to describe him. He was a pretty upbeat person, and his love for baseball was pretty much unmatched in terms of our class. He was also one of the first people to join Karma and I's little friend group.
"Hey, Nagisa. Those moves you pulled against Mister Karasuma were really something else. Where did you learn how to do stuff like that?" he asked me, although his question was enough to snap me out of my little daze.
"O-oh, right, I've just been doing some uhm... practice on my own, I suppose" I had responded, not exactly sure how to properly shrug off the use of my abilities.
"Yeah, I gotta say Nagisa, I didn't think you'd ever be able to pull off moves like that. Guess you really have changed since we stopped talking to each other."
"Well, I wouldn't say that, Karma... at least, not until recently."

Unmapped Facility, Tokyo, Japan (Next Day, 9:25 PM)

It had begun to rain later that night. In the front of a large, unmarked, and shadowy building, a black luxury sedan pulled up to the almost gothic-looking front gates. The men standing guard at the front opened the gate, allowing for the car to drive onto the property and park at the end of the roundabout near the front doors. After the engine turned off, the driver stepped outside and walked around, opening the rear right passenger door.
"My... quite the facility you got here."
Principal Asano stepped out of the car and lifted an umbrella over his head, darting his eyes across the property and seeming intrigued by the layout of the building and all the different scientists wandering about doing their own work.
"Ah, welcome, Mister Asano," a familiar voice greeted as he walked over to the front doors of the building, an umbrella shielding him from the rain.
"Greetings. I look forward to getting this process underway." the principal responded, appearing to give a soft, warm smile.
