~Author's Note~
In, "Season 3, Episode 5: Eight O'clock at the Oasis" Lorelai meets her and Rory's neighbor, Dwight and get roped into watering his lawn and as soon as he went back inside his house, Lorelai ran up the stairs and hustled Rory back in the house and Lorelai said, "We are never leaving the house, again", (or something to that affect).
But, I don't know if any other calibration from Lorelai happened, but... This is a one-shot what maybe Lorelai could have said, and if Rory asked her what happened. Hope you enjoy reading this!

(No one's POV)
As soon as Dwight went into his house, Lorelai dashed for the stairs to the front door of her and Rory's house.
She hightailed it up the front steps and was about to jerk the front door open, when Rory came up and said, "Look they put in the cheesy bread".
"Come on, let's get inside and we are never going out the house again", Lorelai said, hurriedly and closing the door.
After Lorelai closed the door. Rory just looked at her and said, "What... what happened"?
Lorelai looked at her and said, "I just met our new neighbor".
Rory looked at Lorelai like she was nuts. "So?! You met our new neighbor and that's what you reacted to?! Really, Mom"?
Lorelai sighed, she knew that Rory would not let it go, until she gave a good answer.
"I just met our new neighbor", She said.
Rory just looked at her and said, "Really, Mom. Is that all"?
Lorelai looked at her, and said, "He just asked me if I would water his lawn that he just put in. We just met each other and he asked me if I would water his lawn".
Rory just rolled her eyes, and said, "Come on, Mom".
Lorelai said, "I'm serious". Rory just shook her head and held up the bag with the cheesy bread and weaved it around in front of Lorelai's face.
Lorelai yelped with happiness and grabbed the bag and ran off with it in the kitchen. Rory ran off behind her, trying to grab the bag away from Lorelai.
