"Gilmore Girls" (One Shots) - Book 2

~Sherry didn't steal Christopher...He decided to stay with her~ (3x13)

~Author's Note~

In, "Season 3, Episode 13: Dear Emily and Richard". Sherry gets put on bed rest. Rory is in hospital with Sherry and calls Lorelai, who is at Emily and Richard's house, for Friday Night Dinner. Rory asks Lorelai to come to be with her. Well, if you don't remember Emily, of course, was not very happy with her leaving to be Sherry and she was, I think already annoyed because Rory was there instead of being there at Friday Night Dinner.

She asks Lorelai why she is going to help that "other woman" being Sherry and being there for a woman who she Christopher away from her.

Lorelai, upset says that she is going for Rory and Rory only. 

In this one-shot, what if she says "Sherry didn't steal Christopher from me, Mom. He decided to stay with her". It's something that was never discussed or explored. And, I think that this was something that Emily never found out and I think that after hearing this, if she ever heard it, she would think twice about Christopher and Lorelai belonging together. It wasn't until Richard having another heart attack and Christopher didn't show up. That is the only time that she really understand of who Christopher was, also she might have finally realized that Luke was a pretty good match for Lorelai. Luke shows up to the hospital, even when he wasn't obligated to, but he wanted to help and he still cared about Rory and Lorelai, even if (though) that he and Lorelai were no longer together. 

Okay, whew, sorry about my ramble, so let's start this one-shot. But, before we do, I do want to tell you that it will be written in No one's POV. Hope you enjoy reading this!

(No one's POV)

"Listen, Mom. I have go, Rory's at the hospital all by herself", Lorelai said, walking toward the door.

Emily following her to the door, and said, "Well, I don't understand why she is there by herself and I also don't understand now why you are going to be with and to help someone that stole Christopher away from you".

Lorelai, who was almost out of the door, sighed and said turning around, "Okay, Mom. I'm only going to say this once. I'm going there to be with Rory, because she is my daughter and she asks me to. Secondly, Sherry didn't steal Christopher when she got pregnant he decided to stay with her, so no she didn't steal Christopher from me. Now, I'm leaving, Mom. I don't want to have this conversation again".

Before, Emily could say anything Lorelai turned around and walked out of the door, leaving Emily standing there, stunned. And, she started to have less of friendly feelings about Christopher.

I know I changed this scene, drastically. I'm sorry about that, but I wanted to write this because I believe of Emily saw what kind of man Christopher was, she would not be rooting for Christopher and Lorelai to be together.

Then, what I think is very funny is that, when Lorelai and Luke, before they got together Emily could tell that there was something going on with, between them. They both deny it, then she says that they are both idiots (that it's obvious that they care about each other).

Then, when they finally do get together Emily tries everything that she can to break them up, inviting Christopher to hers and Richard's vow renewal, telling Christopher lies about how that Lorelai and Luke's relationship won't last and that it's just a passing relationship. That Christopher and Lorelai are perfect together. So, Christopher comes and he get too drunk and fights with Luke. Luke and Lorelai end up broken up and she is furious with Emily and Christopher. 

But, it was until Christopher and Lorelai get married and then Christopher doesn't show up, because of a fight that they had, when Richard is in the hospital with the heart attack. She all of a sudden shows her distain finally for him. Well, her waiting so long is unbelievable to me, so this is why I decided to write this.
