6 Months later

Kaden's P.o.V

I have now lived in Pittsburgh for 6 months I still do not know how to speak this strange language that everyone speaks I have slowly started to understand certain things. My Orphanage put me into hockey. My coach has tried me in every position except one goalie. I don't know why but the position seems to call to me. I picked skating up unusually fast as if it was in my blood.

I get to hockey practice and coach helps me put my equipment on. I am the youngest at 3 playing with 5 year Olds due to how fast I picked up skating. Coach then helps me put goalie equipment on. One of the boys gives me a dirty look coach pulled him off goal yesterday due to the fact he was really bad at it. We have some sort of famous people coming today that is all I understood from what was said at the end of practice yesterday. I skate out onto the ice and into the goal. There was an adult in goal already he smiled at me. I smiled back.

Marc-Andre Fluery was his name

Marc-Andre Fluery was his name. I recognize him from when Pittsburgh played my favorite team the Canadiens.

He said something in English but I did not understand him.

Marc-Andre's P.O.V

I had been told by the coach that coached this kids team that the kid I was to teach the goalie position to that the kid did not speak or if he did he spoke a foreign language that no one could figure out. They told me they were unsure if he understood English. I said something in English he just smiled but looked at me confused. I was going to have my work cut out for me. Pittsburgh Penguins sponsored this team. I got into position and the child copied my movements. I smiled at him. I motioned Geno to come over and take a light shot at him and to my surprise the kid caught the puck. I looked at him shocked the kid had talent for the goalie position it was obvious. I was pulled out of my shock by the kid.
"Watch out!" He yelled at me in my native tongue. I turned just in time to glove the puck that one of the kids had shot and it went the wrong way.

Kaden's P.O.V

I watched Marc whip around fast catch the rogue puck in his glove. He looked at me and but he did not speak in the foreign language like everyone else but in a language I understood.

"Where are you from?" He asked with a smile.
"I am from Montreal Quebec Canada. I have lived here 6 months. I never stay in a home long they don't understand that hockey is apart of who I am. Most don't know how to act around me when they find out my history." I reply. He looks at me with sad look.
"What is your name? What do mean by that?" He asks confused.
"My name is Kaden Elliot Crawford-Price. When I was 9 months old me and my mom were in a car crash. She died and I lived. I don't remember it heard my social worker speak about it once when they thought I could not hear. They never found any of my mom's family or my father." I reply. As you can tell I am very bright for my age. Marc gives me a sad look Geno looks confused on what we are saying. But my coach looks shocked that Marc can understand me. Sidney Crosby skates over. He and Malkin take more shots at me I manage save a few but sadly a lot go in.
"Don't beat yourself up buddy you are doing very good for your first time." Marc says. Sidney whips his head to Marc when I smile at Marc.

Marc spends the rest of practice helping me and teaching me on what to do. I almost felt like I had a father figure something I had always wanted. The one thing I had always craved was to be apart of a family sadly I was getting older soon I would not be at the adoptable age anymore.
