CHAPTER SIXTEEN - SEEING RED

𝓣𝚁𝙴𝙽𝚃

I KICKED A TRONIC BACK as Ravi, Zoey, Nate, Steel and I were currently morphed and fighting some Tronics that were spotted. I slashed another Tronic using my Lion Lance.

"Where's Devon?" Zoey questioned.

"He was out jogging. He can't be far off." Ravi responded.

As if on cue, Devon had appeared. "Sorry? Who isn't far off?" He asked, chuckling as he did so.

"Devon!" Ravi shouted out.

"What?" Zoey said in confusion before we continued fighting.

Once we dealt with the Tronics, we regrouped with Devon who was facing off against Roxy and Burnertron.

"You don't stand a chance against all six of us." Zoey informed.

Devon then charged forward. "Devon!" Nate called out.

He used his Cheetah Claws to slash at Roxy and Burnertron.

"Actually, you don't stand a chance against me." Devon corrected. "Watch this."

Roxy and Burnertron crashed to the ground. "We got burned!" Burnertron exclaimed.

Devon attacked Burnertron again, sending him to the ground as Nate and Steel stepped forward. Before they could attack however, Devon used his cheetah speed and slashed Burnertron.

"Man, I'm good!" Devon exclaimed.

Burnertron groaned. "Someone's fired up!" He stated.

"Ugh. That's enough. I'm calling a timeout." Roxy announced as her and Burnertron disappeared.

"Ha! Chickens!" Devon insulted as he demorphed. "Whoo! That was something, wasn't it?"

The rest of us were demorphed as I was wearing a white t-shirt with a black flannel over it. "Yeah, something all right." Ravi replied as he was holding a fan to his face.

"Huh? What's wrong, guys?" Devon questioned.

"To start with, you messed up our attack." Steel answered.

"Plus, you were kind of late." Zoey said.

"Well, nothing had happened." Devon told us, holding up a burnt out Fury Cell. "Luckily, when the Fury Cell burnt out, I just snagged a new one."

Nate takes the burnt out Fury Cell out of Devon's hands. "Interesting. It seems that every time you use Fury Mode, it uses up part of the cell. You better be careful, Devon. Even that new one won't last forever." He warned.

"Relax. With this awesome power, Evox is on the ropes." Devon reassured. "Now, who's thirsty? Let's hit the Riptide."

"You guys go. I have some lab work to do." Nate responded.
