CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN - GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY

"WAIT, LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT. Your parents want you to come and live with them?" Devon asked. I was currently at Grid Battleforce wearing a black tank top.

"Affirmative. Overseas. Just for a couple of years." Nate replied.

"Meaning you'd have to leave Grid Battleforce?" Commander Shaw asked.

"Which is impossible, right?" Nate questioned. "I just have to tell them there's no way I can do this. I have way too much to do here."

"Not so fast, bro. I need regular maintenance, so I have to stay. But you? You can't pass up this chance, Nate." Steel informed.

"Steel's right. Since the day I met you, all you've ever wanted was to be with your parents." Zoey agreed.

"Yeah, but. . . what about the team?" Nate asked.

"The team will be just fine." I replied.

"Trent has a point. I'm sure we can find a way to survive without you." Devon added on. "Heck, you've already developed such terrific weapons."

"That's true. And it's just a matter of time before we destroy Evox." Ravi chimed in.

"You'd have to show us a few of the standard procedures around here, kind of hand over the reins." Commander Shaw said.

"I guess I could do that." Nate agreed.

"Good idea. I could take charge of the weapons." Devon said.

"And I can maintain the Zords." Ravi suggested.

"I could collect DNA samples." Steel stated.

"And Megan could take over the lab. I'll help her." Zoey offered.

"I could help around, make sure things are in order." I added on.

"Really?" Nate said, still unsure.

"Absolutely." Zoey responded, taking Nate's hand. "You need to do this."

"Okay, then." Nate said. "I need to organize everything. I should go over the schedules and update all the firewalls."

"All right, Nate. Sounds like a plan." Commander Shaw said as the two of them left the room.

"Don't you worry, Zoey. Everything will be just fine." Steel reassured her.

We arrived at the destination morphed where Nate and Steel were being attacked by Robo-Roxy.
