EPILOGUE - WELCOME TO PINE RIDGE

Two years after Evox's defeat . . .

𝓣𝚁𝙴𝙽𝚃

"THAT'S THE LAST OF YOUR things, Trent." Ben told me as him and Betty finished putting the last box in my Jeep. I was currently wearing a black hoodie.

"Thanks, you two." I thanked the siblings as they headed back into Grid Battleforce.

"Can't believe you're leaving." Zoey said sadly.

"I won't be that far. Pine Ridge is like, three hours away." I told her, giving her a hug.

"So what's next for you, Trent?" Nate asked.

"Who knows? Guess I'll see where Pine Ridge takes me." I replied. "Aiden's 'retired' from doing any world tours. He's sticking to local things like festivals. And Coda has been writing a lot recently. Maybe he'll be a journalist or something."

"Maybe you'll get lucky and become a Ranger again." Devon joked.

"God, I sure hope not." I replied, causing everyone to laugh. "No, but seriously, my Ranger days are over. Sweet, sweet, retirement. Here I come."

"Even so, you'll always find your way back to the Rangers somehow." Devon said, making me hum in agreement before hugging him.

I then hugged Ravi, Nate, and finally Steel. "Don't cause too much trouble, Steel." I said.

"No promises there, Trent." Steel replied as we pulled apart. I then hugged Blaze and Roxy.

"Trent, come on! We gotta get going if we're going to beat morning traffic!" Levi called out.

"All right!" I shouted back. "I guess this is it."

I gave a wave to everyone who returned it. I took out my keys as I got into my Jeep. Levi was in the passenger seat while Dacoda was in the back.

"Think he's gonna be okay?" Levi questioned, referring to Dacoda who was sleeping.

"He was a little upset about leaving when I told him." I responded. "I hope he makes some friends and finds his destiny."

"And are you okay?"

I sighed. "Goodbyes get easier the more you do them." I answered, putting my key into the ignition, starting up the car and soon began driving with the Grid Battleforce building in my rear view mirror.

Three hours later, we eventually reached our destination as I spotted a sign.

'Welcome to Pine Ridge.'

"Here we are. Our new life starts now." I think to myself.

It had been a week since my move to Pine Ridge with Trent and Levi. Ever since our move, my dreams had been getting more frequent.

Seven Dino statues. A vision of a Brachiosaurus.

Names of people I didn't know.

Amelia.

Ollie.

Zayto.

Javi.

Izzy.

Aiyon.

Seven Power Rangers.

I really wish I understood what it meant. It had been two years since Evox had been destroyed.

So who could possibly be a threat to the Earth where a new team of Power Rangers were needed?

Right now, I was currently sitting across from my potential boss, Jane — who was looking at my résumé wearing a silver jacket.

"Mhm. . ." Jane mumbles to herself. "You worked at Grid Battleforce in Coral Harbor?"

"Uh, not. . . officially. I just helped out with testing weapons and making new technology with our tech guy." I responded.

"Got anything specific you want to write about?"

"I'll write about anything you assign me to."

Jane tapped her fingers on her desk. "Okay. You're hired." She said.

"J-Just like that?" I questioned.

"Just like that. You start tomorrow." Jane responded.

I smiled, thanking her before heading out of her office. I pulled out my phone to text Trent, telling him I got the job when I suddenly bumped into someone, causing whatever they were holding to fall out of their hands and go flying.

"I'm sorry!" I immediately apologized.

"You're fine." A female's voice reassured.

I looked up to see a girl wearing a pink shirt. My stare lingered for just a second before I cleared my throat and helped her pick up the scattered papers.

"Again, I'm really sorry about that." I apologized once more as the girl took the papers I handed to her.

"Happens to the best to us." She replied. "Are you new to Pine Ridge? I haven't seen you around here."

"I am. Moved here a week ago from Coral Harbor. I'm Dacoda Romero."

"Nice to meet you, Dacoda. I'm Amelia Jones."
