CHAPTER 28
Eunmi couldn't sleep the whole night although she drank a lot yesterday.
"What is wrong with ME! It's not my business anyway," Eunmi yells to herself. Cover herself under the thick blanket to get some sleep but couldn't. The next thing she does is reach for her phone and start dialing.
"Hello?" the other side answers with a rather soft voice.
"Choi Sin-Je!" Eunmi yells causing Sin-Je to flinch from the loud yelling.
"How could you do this to our Hyun Seong. What is it that I heard that you got a new boyfriend now?"
"I know you're angry Eunmi unnie"
"Don't you even call me unnie. Wow, Sin-Je, you really are something"
"What? What am I now? Yes, that is true that I got a new boyfriend. Why can't I? You told me to leave Hyun Seong for good. And now you are angry that I have a boyfriend?" Sin-Je burst out.
"You're.... Seems like I was right and you didn’t really love Hyun Seong since it was pretty quick to have a new one. You made a complete fool out of our Hyun Seong".
The words Eunmi said sting deeply into Sin-Je heart. She could only stay quiet as it was better this way.
"You're right Eunmi unnie. You can stop calling me"
"I was planning to do that"
"I'm sorry for the troubles"
"Whatever you say bitch," Eunmi mocks ending the call.
Sin-Je couldn't hold back the tears. She feels lifeless knowing how angry Eunmi must be after all the effort she tried.
"Jean," a soft voice calls out. She looks up to see Boon standing by the door.
"Hey," Boon scoot over to Jean on the floor hugging her tightly.
"What happened?" Boon asks. Jean shakes her head; warm tears come rolling down wetting his shirt.
"I promise I will always be there for you," Boon whispers thumbing her tears away. Jean let out a small laughs.
"I don't want to hurt you too Boon. You should look for another girl"
"No. Listen to me Jean. I am not going to do that so please stop saying that".
Both of them stay quiet for moments until Boon break the silence.
"Let’s escape this place with me Jean"
"What?" Jean eyes widen looking straight at Boon. "What are you talking about?" Jean ask again when Boon only stare at her without muttering anything. Jean averts her eyes when her face starts to get pinkish from the stare. Boon who sees this brings his hand to Jean cheek getting her to look at him again as he close the gap between them. He feels her soft lips tremble; slowly he pulls away from the kiss not wanting to scare her.
"Let’s go to UK together. I know you are still thinking whether to continue your course here or overseas, and I already plan to continue overseas. So, let's go to the same university together in UK," Boon proposes.
