Chapter 11

[Hyun Seong P.O.V]

I turn back again to see Jean running to somewhere. Jun Young nudge at me and I follow them to the golf ranch. Walking through the green field and up some small hills, we find 5 older man playing golf. They said something I don’t understand, just like at the pool when the 3 talks among themselves leaving us looking at them in confusion.

“This is my grandpa. Grandpa, this is Obsidian. The singers from Korea,” Sui-Ji introduces.

“Hello, we are Obsidian,” we bows. He laughs and shakes our hands.

“I know I know. My granddaughter really likes you all,” he says still laughing.

“Since you all are here. Why don’t you all play with this old man?”

“Yes, but we can’t play golf,” Doo Joon refuse politely.

            “Then it’s time to learn”

“I’ll teach,” Sui-Ji volunteered. Ending up the manger and Ki Seob with Sui-Ji with another older man; Ki Bum, Jun Young and Dong Joon with the other two older men; Dong Wook and me with Jean’ grandpa and another older man.

“Now, grab a golf club. Grip on the shaft on the top end. Place your club touching the ground. Spread your legs apart to the same shoulder width, straighten your stance, get comfortable with your stance, and now try swinging the ball,” Jean’ grandpa guides us. Dong Wook and me try as was told and swing the ball.

“Not bad for the first time. Try again,” he tells us.

“Grandpa!” Jean shouts and swings herself to her grandpa.

“Hello, Uncle Chen,” she greets the older man.

“Hello, nuna,” Dong Wook waves at her and she waves back.

“Can you play golf?” she asks Dong Wook.

“No. Me and hyung are learning, but I think hyung is better” Dong Wook shakes his head. She nods and looks at me. I made a peace sign making Dong Wook rolls his eyes. I notice she tied up her hair into a bun, which makes her look even more like a kid. She changes into a polo tee, a shorts, Nike shoes, and holding a Puma sports bag. I should have figured out she’s rich. The more I think of it, the more it makes sense. Yesterday, she’s holding a Chanel handbag, wearing a really beautiful watch with diamonds crafted on it, the way she act and everything does shows, not in a bad way but when you look at it carefully, she does look classy and elegance.

“Grandpa shall we make a shot?” she says.

“Why not?” her grandpa takes her challenge.

“Jean nuna. You can play golf?” Dong Wook ask.

“My granddaughter is good at it”

“No. My grandpa is just saying. Grandpa you go first,” Jean says and her grandpa gets ready. “My grandpa will definitely shot the holes over there,” she whispers as he swings his club. That’s far. We all clap.
