Chapter 25

Madison's POV

My eyes were fixed on Jason as he slowly walked away, leaving me and Alex alone. Great.

I turned back and he smiled brightly.

"Hey." I flashed a smile and did a little wave. 

"Hey Madison. Is it okay if I call you Maddie?" he asked politely.

"Sure." I nodded. 

"Hey, beautiful." He winked.

I giggled and turned away from him slightly. 

"Thanks but I thought you were gonna call me Maddie from now on."

"Beautiful suits you more." he tilted his head and looked at me.

Awkward.

"Thanks...but I really prefer Maddie." I said sounded a little annoyed.

"Okay, Sheesh just trying to be nice. Fine Maddie." he said putting his hands up in defense.

I gave him a half smile and walked into his room. I slowly walked around, seeming like I was interesting in all of his things in his room. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see him staring at me even though I would make a full circle around his room.

I then stummbled upon something that looked like a photo album on the floor. I picked it up and opened it. I know it wasn't mine but I just wanted to see what pictures were in here. Alex walked towards me and reached out to take it but I pulled it away.

"Can I see it please?" I flashed my biggest smile ever.

"No. It's embarrassing." he said shyly as he looked down.

"Please?" I smiled even bigger if that was even possible. I started to use my thumb as a bookmark for the first page.

"No! Give it!" he demanded, reaching for the photo album but I pulled it behind my back.

"What's so bad with the pictures anyways? It can't be that bad. Come on, I mean everyone has embarrassing pictures." I smiled.

"It's just really embarrassing okay? Give it!" he demanded again, this time his face was closer to mine. Our faces were just inches apart and I could feel his cool breath on my cheek. I dared myself not to look up. I either looked straight or looked down.

"Ugh fine. But I'm going to see it sooner or later okay?" I said, handing him back the blue album to him.

He looked at me and he took the album away and put it in one of his drawers.

Alex's POV

"It's just really embarrassing okay? Give it!" I snapped. I stepped forward and looked into her brown eyes. Gosh the are so beautiful. I couldn't quite she her full face because she kept looking down and not up.

"Ugh fine. But I'm going to see it sooner or later okay?" she said, as she handed me the photo album. I took it from her and watched her at the same time. I just couldn't get my eyes off her.

I quickly shoved the album in one of my wooden drawers. I didn't care which one, I just needed to keep it from her.

"So what's in the album anyways?" she asked.

"You know, pictures." I said, sitting on the bed.

"Very descriptive." she rolled her eyes and looked around the room again.

She stopped in the corner of my room and her eyes widen with a bright smile. She leaned over to pick up my guitar that was leaning on the wall and then she looked at me.

"Oh my gosh! You play the guitar?" she asked. She sat on the bad, a few inches away from me with the brown guitar on her lap.

"Yeah. I play it when I'm bored or when I have spare time." I confessed. 

Honestly, no one ever knew that I play guitar. It just seems really unmanly for me but I still love doing it so I keep it to myself. I would write songs and sometimes just strum some chords before I go to sleep. Madison is the first person to know.

"Awh! That's awesome. Do you sing too?" she smiled looking at me now. Her smile really brightens up her eyes and her entire image.

"Sometimes" I answered back.

"Can you sing now?" she asked.

I stood up and shook my head.

"Uh no. Let's just unpack first." I suggested.

 "Dude. I don't have any clothes to bring with me because I was kid-na-" she stopped in the middle of her sentence and coughed.

"Because you were what?"

"Never mind." she said, sitting their quietly. 

I narrowed my eyes at her. She wasn't telling me something. Maybe I just have to get it out of her. Soon.
