Chapter 37

Jason's POV

"Where's Nate?" Madison asked out of the blue.

"I dropped him off at a hotel somewhere around here. He's picking up food so we can eat lunch and then we can head off somewhere, I don't know where though."

"Can we go back to the USA?"

"Don't know. I'll be hard to get pass the borders again. It was already hard the first time." I sighed heavily.

I turned a busy corner and parked in front of a hotel. I could see Nate coming out from the building holding Tim Horton sandwiches and there large cups of coffee.

I unlocked the doors as he slipped into the backseat, passing me the tray with the drinks.

"Maddie! Great to see you alive." Nate smiled as he handed both of us a sandwich.

"I'm glad I am alive." She replied.

"Good. We were worried sick to the stomach."

"I know Jason told me." She giggled , giving me a wink.

I locked the doors and drove off as the two of them devoured their sandwiches and taking sips of the hot coffee.

I stopped at a red light and looked at her for a moment. She needs to relax. She needs attention. She needs something special because she deserves it.

-One Hour Later-

I stopped at anther hotel. (We stay and visit at hotels a lot, I know) but this is for a good reason.

"Why are we here?" She asked.

"We'll be staying her for just one night. In the morning we can start to drive out of the city. I'll stay here and in the meantime, you and Nate will go clothes shopping! Sounds fair?"

"I guess. You sure."

"Positive baby." I smiled and leaned over, kissing her gently on the lips.

Madison's POV

We were in a local boutique in the downtown of Stratford. There were a lot of vintage and beautiful floral clothing here which I do like.

It's kind of odd that Jason wants Nate to go clothes shopping with me. I wonder what Jason is doing back at the hotel...

"How about this?" I heard Nate's voice nearby.

I walked to the back of the store near the changing rooms and Nate was there holding a beautiful dress.

The dress was strapless and at perfect length, right above the knee. It was a sheer pink and coral colour with floral print. A small bow was added to the front at the waist.

I was in awe. It was perfect.

"That's so cute!" I practically ran to where Nate was standing. I grabbed the dress from him and held it in my hands. I examined everything about it. Overall it was perfect.

" You should get it." He offered

"But what will I wear it for? It's too fancy for anything I do." I frowned.

"Just for fun! Now go find some matching shoes and some accessories and lets buy it."

I found some wedges to go with the dress and a gold necklace with a now charm, a bracket with a dolphin charm on it and some studs for my bare ears.

"Now try everything on and come out when you are done." Nate sat down on a chair that was in front of the change room door.

Obeying his command, I locked myself in the change room and changed out of my filthy clothes into the dress and shoes. After I added the accessories to go with it.

There was no mirror in this changing room which was strange but by the feels of it, everything fits perfectly.

I opened the change room door to show Nate.

"Here it my outfit. You like it?" I smiled and did a little twirl for him.

"You look absolutely stunning Madison!!!" He said, his eyes wide and his mouth slightly open.

"Jason owns me." I teased him.

"Lucky him." I heard him mumble.

I giggled and twirled once more. I felt like a goddess in this dress for some reason.

"Let's buy it. Just don't change back."

"If you say so." I said.

Madison's POV

Half and hour later, we reached back to the hotel. Surprising it was about 5:00 pm and since it's winter in Canada, it was getting fairly dark. Wearing a dress didn't help keep me warn either.

"You can go back to the hotel. I have to pick up some stuff." Nate said as we unlocked the doors. I stepped out in the cool winter air. Goosebumps formed on my arms and on my legs.

I waved at him as he drove off.

I walked I the hotel. On the way back I remember Nate telling me that our rooms are on the first floor near the lobby. It was room 143. I walked walked passed the lobby and turned a corner into a hallway.

138, 139, 140, 141, 142.....143

I stopped in front of the door and opened it.

In my surprise, Jason was standing in front of me with a suit and tie. His hair was spiked up as usual and he wore his black surpras.

I looked passed him and the room was filled with white Christmas lights and rose petals were scattered all along the floor. Behind him was a table for two, and on it was dinner.

"You look stunning my dear." he smiled.

"Jason! You did this for me?" I couldn't hold in my smile. My eyes were wide and all I could hear was out heartbeats and breathing.

"Yes! You deserve it. You're the one who changed my life. My one and only." He said.

"Thank you so much. I love you!" I said, wrapping my arms around him.

I closed the door with my foot behind me. I instantly kissed him on the lips, and he did the same.

His hands on were on my lower back and slowly creeping up to my shoulders, hugging me tightly as we kissed passionately.

We both pulled back and smiled at each other. He was still holding me close so we were face to face.

"Guess what?" He whispered

"What?" I asked

"I love you."
