Chapter Eleven || INJURY PROBLEM

Yeji found herself laying at the clinic bed with her friends circling around her

"Unnie you ok?" The youngest ask. She tried to sit but not when she felt pain on her ankle.

"Don't move to much, unnie. Your ankle got twisted but immediately got back." Chaeryeong told her making confused.

"W-what happened?" She ask.

"You can't remember unnie? We also don't know we got a call from Yeonjun oppa that your at the clinic." Yuna explained, making her more confused.

"He said he found you at the lockers when you lost you conscious. You call Beomgyu and told us that your there but thank goodness he found you." Ryujin said.

"What happened to you Yeji? How did your ankle twist?" Lia ask.

"I..." She slowly say the words that he remembered.

"Lockers." Happened at the hallway where lockers are located.

"Pushed." Being pushed by someone.

"Yena." She muttered the name that she remembered she last talk before the incident happened.

Her friends heard what she said making them wild.

"So that Yena did that to you!" Lia said clenching her fist.

"Why didn't Yeonjun oppa, caught her right handed pushing you." Yuna gibingly said.

"Last time I checked you got a back injury because she pushed you. And now you got your ankle twisted because she pushed you, again." Ryujin frustrated said.

"Guys, just let-"

"No! We will never let her do anything to you again. And I don't think you can dance at the club day because of what she did." Chaeryeong, who's always collected and calm, cut her off with a angry voice.

"Chaer it-"

"You know what, I agreed with Chaeryeong. Listen to us for now Yeji. It's for your own good." Lia also cut what she's going to said. She take a deep breath before looking at them.

"So, how will you tell auntie what happened to you, unnie?" Yuna ask making her widen her eyes.

"Oh sh-" but before she could say the word, the clinic door opened revealing, her mom with a blank Yeonjun following her behind.

"-it. Mom what are you doing here?!" She ask her mother.

"What happened to you Yeji? Yeonjun told me he found you laying at the lockers hallway. What happened, huh? Tell me."

"Mom your over reacti-"

"Her ankle's been twisted, auntie." Yeonjun cut her off, knowing that she wouldn't tell what happened, making her mom got more worried.

"Oh my, Yeji. How did you get your ankle twisted, huh?" Her mom put her hands on her waist looking intimidating. The girls back away leaving the three inside the clinic.

"I... Uhh. I accidentally twisted my ankle mom, I was about to go to gym." She heard Yeonjun scoff, but didn't mind him, instead looking at her mother who's looking angry and worried.

"Be thankful Yeonjun was the one who found you." Her mom said.

"I managed to call Beomgyu earlier-"

"But still, he found you first. Do you prefer other people found you then?" Her mother is acting strange and she doesn't know why.

"It's one of his friend, mom."

"Then, do you prefer him over Yeonjun?" The question itself make her nervous.

She look at Yeonjun who's standing behind her mother, looking disappointed. She look away not wanting to see those eyes again.

"I'm fine mo-"

"No your not, how will you dance for the club day next week. You said your excited, because it's your last performance on your high school." Her mom look at her worried, she did told her mother about it but didn't tell her what they will perform.

Knowing that it's her last time, it make her sad that she can't perform. But nothing is impossible.

"It's alright mom. I can manage, remember last time I have a back injury? I manage to heal within 2 to 3 weeks." She said softly.

"You did have a back injury?" Yeonjun suddenly ask making both of them look at him.

"You don't know, Yeonjun? Yeji did have it 5 years ago." Yeji mom said making him shock.

He surely didn't hear about her having a back injury. But he was sure he knows everything what happened to his best friend, but not until now.

"You didn't told him Yeji?" The woman ask her daughter, who's looking away.

"It's not that important to tell h-"

"What do you mean it's not important to tell me? You almost broke your back and you didn't tell me. I thought we both will achieve our same dream. And now I heard that you almost broke it. Broking your back can be the cause that you can't dance Yeji." He's frustrated, about what she learned now.

The woman leave them, two to talk to fix what's their problem between them, she doesn't know what's happening to the two but she is sure that, it'll be fine soon.

Meanwhile the two was left in silence. Yeji can't answer nor look at him. While Yeonjun is waiting for her to tell him what happened.

He sigh knowing that Yeji wouldn't talk.

"Lucy." Trying to call her English name to tell her he's serious. But Yeji doesn't look at him. "Hwang Lucy, what happened 5 years ago? And why didn't you tell me?" He ask sitting down beside the clinic bed.

Yeji can't talk, she only remember those eyes looking at her earlier. Those blank and disappointed eyes that she's afraid to see again.

"Why aren't yo-" He's been cut by Yeji's answer.

"Because I know that you wouldn't believe me. Like what happened before." She whispered the last part so that he wouldn't hear her.

"You know that I will believe you Yeji. I believe you everytime." He said looking at her, who's not looking at him.

"You won't and I know it, Yeonjun." She said finally looking at him this time. He look at her eyes, but he only saw sorrow.

'Why?' He want to ask her many questions, but seeing her couldn't answer his first question about five years make it harder for him.

"Yeji." He shut his eyes before asking her again, but softly this time. "Tell me what happened. And don't lie."

"Like I said you wouldn't belie-"

"Then why won't you tell me and see if I won't believe you. You predict so early Yeji, you know that I will believe everything you will tell." He said.

"I know, but that change when she enter the story." She said looking at his eyes finding any hope that he will believe her when she tell him. But it seems that he didn't get what she's talking about.

"I'll tell you soon, please leave for now." She said before turning her back to him.

Yeonjun was taken aback by her attitude at first, and immediately walk away, but stop midway when he hear her again.

"But it'll be nice if you will know it all by yourself, besides you were there. And you will know the answers on your questions."
