The next morning I woke up with a pounding headache and a question in my head. So? What are you going to do? I seriously had no idea. So I shoved the question at the back of my mind and got dressed. There was so much to choose from. The closet was larger than my own house back in New York. Gowns, Gowns, and gowns. Ooof! I don't want to wear a gown. Isn't there some decent piece of clothing here inside this mall of clothes? I would've considered wearing at least one of them if they were black or darker shades. But all of them were pink, red, white, and floral colors. There were so many clothes and not one pair of jeans or a T-shirt. Finally, after searching every inch of the closet, I found some black stuff. When I put it on, I looked like I was ready to kill. Heh heh. That'll teach that vampire to respect me. I gave a last look to myself in the mirror and smirked.

"Psst, Fenix you awake?" I whispered. No reply.

"Fenixxxx!"

"Huh? Yeah! Yeah, I am now."

I chuckled. In the meantime, someone knocked at the door.

"Lady Ivashkov-," A maid entered and looked at me with a horrified expression, but she said nothing, "-his eminence is requesting your presence in the study." I smiled and she nervously returned it back. She led me through the halls, to the study. I must say the castle was gigantic and elegant.

"How many people live here?" I asked the maid.

"Only his eminence."

"Knox? I thought they were brothers."

"Yes they are, but because of some bad blood between them his eminence and his brother stay apart."

"Bad blood?"

"I do not know anything else, but that's what they say."

When we reached the door, she bowed with respect and left me in the long passage alone.

"I feel magic," Fenix said.

Not sure if it counted but the air certainly felt thicker and more humid. Jeez, these boots are tight. I placed my hand on the knob but when it didn't open, I applied a little too much force which resulted in me falling on top of Zane. He groaned with pain, but when he looked at me with those intense black eyes, everything just seemed to stop there. A blush crawled up my cheeks. But before anyone could see it, I got up.

"U-Uhm. I'm sorry." I said.

"So clumsy," Zane grumbled. Knox only chuckled.

"What in the name of Lilith are you wearing?" Zane said with a horrified expression when he got a clear view of me.

"There was absolutely nothing in that gigantic closet of yours that I could wear without embarrassing myself." I hissed.

"There were a hundred clothes at least and you choose-" Pointing at my outfit. "-this?"
