Kriza

"Oh, nothing like that," he said and I breathed a sigh of relief.

"I want you to answer some questions."

"Okay.." He came and sat next to me on my bed.

"Tell me, are you a human?"

"Yes, although I do not know why everyone seems to ask me that."

He chuckled. "I can assure you...Kriza, can I call you Kriza? You are anything but human. No mortal can ever cross those barriers."

"Seems like you know me more than I do. If I was wouldn't I know?"

"Hmm...There are two explanations for this situation. Either you are lying to me and are very good at it or someone has sealed your magic leaving some traces. Better be the second one, because if I find out you are lying to me then.."

He moved like a breeze and whispered in my ear that sent shivers down my spine.

"Well let's just say you don't wanna find out. It's best for you." He darkly chuckled.

"I am not lying, definitely. Maybe your magical barriers have just weakened cause no one in my family is magical." I said with no hesitation.

"I thought of it, but then again even with weak barriers a mortal will turn into ash on touching any kind of magic." He thought for a while.

"We'll just have to take you to a warlock and find out."

Just then someone walked in. Holy crap. Why were all these vampires so freaking hot? He sure was tall, but his presence was intimidating in a way. He had dark hair and round eyes. The ones I could stare into all day. He had a prominent jawline and his facial features somewhat resembled Zane's.

"Who is this lovely lady here, Zane?" He took my hands and kissed them gently.

"Distance, Knox. Distance. This is Kriza, Knox. Kriza this is Knox." For a second I felt Knox stiffen.

"Hi, nice to meet you, Knox." I smiled.

"You too, lady Ivashkov.

"Uh, how do you know my last name?" I asked in confusion.

"There are a lot of things in this world that I know about you and you don't know that yourself." He chuckled.

Okay. Weird.

"Hello, Fenix. Nice to meet you after a long time. I was starting to think that you had been finally killed."

"Ah, Knox... and here I was starting to think you actually cared about me." He muttered.

"We all know how much I value you. It's just not alive. Dead, You'd be more valuable and useful."

"Woah, wait up how do you both know each other?" Zane asked Knox.

"That's a story for another time perhaps. Oh and hasn't he told you, he is the heir."

"Whattt?"

"More like a person who selects the heir," he said in a bored tone.

"How could he possibly know that?" I whispered to Fenix.

"Dummy, he is known to be one of the most knowledgable creatures in Aurendel."

I stared at him in admiration. But then again I snapped back to reality. What the hell was I doing here? I wasn't some magical being. I was a human. I wanted a normal life free of stuff like this. Jesus... I think I should rethink my moral values. Helping someone? Yeah, not in a long time.
