XVII

Mark woke up and felt his body ache a little. He looked around and saw he indeed was in an uncomfortable position. He groaned slowly and tried to lay properly.

When he laid down properly, he sighed in comfort. He looked outside and saw it was still early. The sun is not up fully.
He slowly looked at his sight and saw the beauty sleeping peacefully. His heart felt heavy seeing the beautiful face and this is the first time it happening. He has never felt like this before. His heart was heavy in his chest.

He is so close to Donghyuck yet so far away. Hyuck is his husband, his partner. He has every right on him. But still ge feels like Hyuck isn't his. He doesn't have any right on him.

Has love always been this painful??

Where are those days when he used to be euphoric seeing Hyuck's beautiful face. Now his heart only clenches when he sees him.

Last night he thought about Hyuck so much . The things he avoided before can't be avoided anymore. He can't be selfish anymore. He can't force Hyuck to stay with him. His eyes got teary thinking about his doubts coming true. What if Donghyuck really loved someone else? What if he is forcing himself??

His heart is already hurting so bad. How will handle everything when his doubts will come true?? He knows he has to be strong. He just doesn't know how. Mark is sure he will be too broken if those possibilities come true . He will be ruined knowing that he is the reason Hyuck doesn't smile anymore.

Mark stretched out his hand and brushed off some of Hyuck's hair from his eyes.

"I love you so much Hyuckie even if you are not mine. I will always love you" Mark mumbled and placed a kiss on Hyuck's forehead.

After half an hour , he woke up too. He was still naked from the last night. He looked at Mark and mumbled a ' good morning ' before gathering his robe.
He tightened his robe around his body and looked at Mark again. He leaned on and placed a kiss on Mark's cheek.

"When did you get up? Did you have a nice sleep?" He said placing his hand on Mark's chest.

Mark gave him a week smile and nodded his head.

"I am gonna take a shower. Wanna join me?" He asked but Mark could only focus on his emotionless face.

He gulped and shook his head. He was confused a little because Mark always showers with him after such a night. He
frowned but still nodded his head thinking that maybe he is tired and wants to take a shower later. He sighed and got out of the bed.

Mark laid there for a few minutes before closing his eyes again. He wants to sleep as much as he can. This is the only way to ignore the pressure on his chest. When the afternoon came, Mark couldn't wait to see Yangyang again. He got ready and left without saying anything to Hyuck.

He just needs to get everything off his chest. He needs answers to his questions. He needs a closure. He walked to the pond and saw Yangyang in his usual position. He went to him and sat down.

"Yangyang I want to ask you something " Mark said to Yangyang who smiled and nodded his head.

"D-did Donghyuck have a lover before our marriage?"

Hearing the question, Yangyang's smile dropped which didn't go unnoticed by Mark . He was realizing something.

"I-i am not the one you should ask to Mark " Yangyang said, avoiding Mark's
intense gaze.

"But why do I feel like you are the one I should ask to?" Mark asked back.
Yangyang sighed .

"Yangyang I am not a bad person. I hope you know that." Mark said eyeing Yangyang closely.

"I know Mark. You can't be a bad person." He said confidently.

"Then tell me." Mark insisted.

" It doesn't matter anymore Mark. Now he is married to you. You both are happy. Why do you need to know that??" Mark laughed bitterly at the mention of ' happy' .

"Who told you that we are happy?? I am the only one who is happy in this marriage Yangyang. You are underestimating Donghyuck. " Mark said making his eyes go wide.

Yangyang didn't say anything back.
They said nothing. After felt like hours, Mark decided to speak again.

"He is the best husband I could ever wish for . He always wakes up early and makes me breakfast. He helps me getting ready. He pays attention to what I like or what I dislike. He never denies me anything. He made me fall in love with him . He made me fall in love with his beautiful self, with his
beautiful heart. But look at me. I can't even make him smile. I am such an useless husband. But I don't want to be useless Yangyang. I want to make him happy. I want to make him smile. I
need to know everything about his past. I know I am not the one he will be happy with. That's why I want to give him the one he wants to be happy with." Mark pleaded to Yangyang who just stared at him.

When he looked away, he let out a sigh and said,

" I am the one he left to get married to you" Mark's heart burned when he heard that. He stared at Yangyang with an unreadable expression.

So this is it??

"He is such a nice guy Mark. I don't blame him for leaving me. Trust me. And maybe that's why I still love him....." Yangyang said with a small smile.

Mark gulped and asked,

"How......"

Yangyang's smile widened.

"Wanna hear it??"

Mark nodded his head.

~Flashback~

Yangyang woke up the early because he doesn't want to be late again. He went to the washroom to brush his teeth and then take a shower. After cleaning up, he went to dress up for the day. He used to not put his mind on what to wear.

Nowadays though he can't help but dress up nicely. Probably it's because of his want to impress a certain sweet boy??
He went downstairs and finished his breakfast. After finishing his breakfast, he grabbed his car keys and left home.
Donghyuck and him know each other for years. Now both of them are in university. They both are in their last year with Jaemin.

These past years Yangyang couldn't help but fall for the boy. The way he talks, the way he smiles everything makes him go crazy. But what makes him happy that Donghyuck seemed to be aware of his feelings. Maybe he likes him back ?

But he is not sure of it. And that's why he decided to confess to him. But not now.

On the special day.

On his own birthday.

He reached the university and saw Donghyuck waiting for him. He went to him and hugged him tightly.

"You are looking beautiful Donghyuck ." Yangyang said breaking the hug. Donghyuck blushed and
thanked him.

"Yeah stop flirting you too. There is someone single too" Jaemin said coming to them.

"Stop it Nana " Donghyuck said rolling his eyes.

They went to the cafeteria and sat down. They were drinking some coffee and talking but suddenly a girl came and-

Yangyang was about to continue his story but suddenly Mark's phone rang.
