It was a few days after the awards show and me and Vinnie had been texting back and forth ever since. Before you say it - no, just as friends. We had agreed to meet up and hang out again. Just like old times. I stayed in my pyjamas and waited for him to arrive as I sat in the living room eating a bowl of strawberries whilst watching dance moms.

"I reckon you could fit into that group dance

"I reckon you could fit into that group dance." I heard from behind me making me jump.
"Vinnie!!" I shouted as I ran to give him a hug.
"You didn't make an effort did you." He said looking down at me in my pyjamas.
"As if I'm gonna dress up to chill with you." I said walking back to the sofa.
"Strawberry?" I asked handing him the bowl. He took one with a massive smile on his face.
"Stop with the smiling." I said creeped out.
"Your eating is going well then?" He said.
"Very." I smiled back.
"Do you really think I would fit into the group?" I asked seriously as I pointed back to the tv.
"Yh I mean you're an amazing dancer." He said.
"You've not seen me doing any technical dancing. I'm mainly just a hip hop dancer. I haven't taken a ballet class in about 5 yrs." I said to him.
"Well what's stopping you?" He asked me.
Vinnie had a point. If I wanted to dance professionally I could.
"You're right. Maybe I will book a dance class. Maybe."
"What do you mean maybe? You're so talented."
"I'll do it if you do it with me." I said as his eyes widened.
"No way! I've got two left feet." He protested.
We argued back and forth for a solid 5 minutes before he came to his senses and agreed.
"Ok....but only if you come to a meet and greet with me."
"Nah not a chance! Why can't you take Sammie??" I said.
"She doesn't want to." He said sheepishly. I did feel quite bad.
"Fine. It'd be my honour Mr Hacker." I said in a posh voice.

We had been binging 'dance moms' episodes last summer before the big fall out. We were meant to watch the episodes on FaceTime but you know...
We had got to season 6 when the girls were in LA.
"Uhh I hate the mini moms." I said to Vinnie.
"Tell me about it. 'My kid can be the next maddie'" he said in a silly voice as he mimicked them. We laughed away at how stupid the moms were.
"Kids are just awful..." He said in shock as the minis started crying.
"Nah they're not that bad. My girl Maxie is the sweetest little girl." I said laughing at his expression of disgust.
"Whatever you say.." he said rolling his eyes.
"Nah come with me sometime. Come meet her. I'm sure she'll love you." I said to him.
"Um not a chance." He said as he munched through his second bag of popcorn.
"Give us some." I said referring to the popcorn.
"As if!" He said holding it away from me.
"Hey!" I said as I tried to reach over Vinnie to get the popcorn. I kept reaching over to get it but he kept laughing and moving the bag away.
"UM WHATS GOING ON?" We heard from behind us. I only now just realised the compromising position me and Vin were in. My face was inches away from his and my legs were stretched out, straddling his lap. Both our eyes widened as I jumped off the sofa as far away from him as humanly possible. We were met with an angry Sammie.
"It's not what it looks like I promise. I just wanted the popcorn! I don't even like him anymore! Look at him!" I said pointing to a sprawled out Vinnie.
"Hey!" He said clutching his chest in fake hurt.
"Grace...can I talk to you for a second?" Sammie said with a fake smile on her face.
"Sure.." I said following her out of the room as I looked to Vinnie for help. All he managed to do was mouth the word 'sorry'. Absolutely useless.

I was now following a tall leggy blonde out of the living room to the kitchen. She turned around on her heels to face me.
"What were you doing with my boyfriend?" She said. Ew her plastic LA voice really bugged me.
"Watching dance moms..." I said like it was the most obvious thing in the world. It was fully blaring on the tv when she came in. I knew she was a little slow but I didn't realise how slow.
"Not what I meant! Why were you watching it with him?!" She said getting frustrated.
"Because he's my friend!" I laughed in her face keeping calm.
"Don't laugh at me! And why are you dressed like that?! Like a prostitute! You're a slut!" She shouted in my face. I looked down at my pyjamas. Is this bitch alright in the head?
"You need to chill. I'm just wearing pyjamas. Why would I make an effort for Vinnie?" I said.
"You're just a heifer. You and all you're little London friends. Oh Yh, I've seen the tiktoks." She said smirking. Talk about me all you want, but bring the people I love into it and I'll throwing hands.
"You little-" I said lunging forward to swing at her.
"Whoaaa calm down." Bryce said through gritted teeth as he held me back. He had just entered the kitchen.
"You heard what she said! Let me at her!" I said trying to break free from his hold. Sammie stood there with an accomplished smile on her face.
"Stay away from my boyfriend." She said as she bent down to my height. Vinnie then walked through the door.
"Let's go Sammie. Now!" He said looking pissed.
"I'll see you around Grace." He said smiling pitifully at me.
Bryce's grip on me was still firm.
"Um you can let go mate. She's gone." I said snapping him out of his trance.
"Oh Yh, of course." He said laughing it off.
He walked over to the kitchen counter and Tayler had left his credit card on the table.
"Want some pizza? Tayler's treat!" He said holding up the card.
"Obviously!" I said running to his side as he pulled out his phone to order the pizza. Tayler was gonna kill us but that didn't matter. That was a problem for later.

Suddenly Tayler walked into the kitchen and saw me and Bryce with his credit card. Some immense eye contact was made as all three of us stood frozen.
"Run!" Bryce said as he dropped the card on the table and bolted for the door. I wasn't far behind him and we made it out. We ran upstairs to my room and we heard Tayler shouting after us.
"BRYCE! GRACE!"
It was good to be back. In fact it was great to be back.
