Surprisingly, Y/n was the first one in the training room. Maybe it had to do with the fact that she wasn't going to eat with the others because all of them, except the twins and vision, seemed to have something against her. Especially Natasha. Y/n wasn't there to make friends though, so it did not bother her in the slightest that no one was enjoying her very unwelcome presence in the compound. For those who did seem to like her, that of Sharon Carter and Maria Hill, they were only SHIELD (not shield) agents so didn't spend too much time around the Avengers. So apart from the twins Y/n was very much alone in this massive compound, not that she minded.

She liked to keep herself to herself, only those that she held really close to her heart did she truly feel hurt if they were to throw accusations at her. For example, if Natasha was to say that she is worthless Y/n would simply shrug and retort with something like 'I may be valueless to you but that power which you cannot see is worth many thousands of you'. It was all a game to her, she could take the insults with a pinch of salt and never let anyone's words damage her.

However, if it were - let's say - Wanda. Now that is a completely different story. If Wanda were to, for some reason, call Y/n worthless then it would most definitely break the celestial's already old heart. She would most definitely not be able to say anything back to Wanda, a simple nod of understanding and maybe a 'thank you for telling me how you really feel'. Y/n would never truly be prepared for the day that Wanda would say spiteful things to her out of hate. It hadn't occurred yet, and Y/n was hoping to the gods, that she does not believe in, for it to never happen.

She may be able to foresee the future, she may be able to change that which is coming, she may be saving the Avengers from themselves. But, in all honesty, Y/n was doing all of this to protect Wanda. She has seen what possibilities befall the young Sokovian, and she is definitely not letting her fall in love with Vision. Y/n has seen how that ends and has most definitely decided that it's not happening. Wanda will never know of the fact, but that day that Sokovia fell. The unanswered question of how Pietro had survived when he was meant to end up with a body full of bullets. All they would have to do is look at Y/n and her divine intervention, so to speak.

So what if she didn't leave earth until she had watched Sokovia fall. So what if she left without saying goodbye. So what if she broke the twins' hearts, Wanda's more than Pietro's. So what if they had hated her for the 3 years she had left them. It was all worth it when in the end she took those bullets that Pietro was meant to. The scars litter her torso and arms as proof, never having shown anyone but the person she trusted most.

Sharon.

It was weird to think about Y/n and Sharon's relationship: not that it was a relationship in that sense of the word. It was a drunken one night stand, neither realising who the other was until the next day. It was a little weird at first, but now they can joke about the situation. Sharon held a special place in Y/n's heart, just like the twins but the connection they have is completely different to the connection between Y/n and Sharon. Sharon grew up on stories from her great- aunt about how she and Y/n fought side by side together. How they built what was once SHIELD from nothing, into something huge. Yes, it was overrun by Hydra and all the secrets were released by Nat, but for Sharon it was the closest thing she had to Peggy and her friend.

Sharon knew that it was more than that, but never questioned it further knowing that it would not have been appropriate to ask her great-aunt such a question. So when she found out the person she slept with on a night out was her great-aunts good friend -well- it freaked them both out a bit for a while. No one had taken advantage of the other, and they truly didn't know who the other was until they both turned up at the same workplace. To say things were awkward at first was an understatement.
