Summary: Nadine and Mr Bruner are arguing and the reader who is Mr Bruner's daughter overheard which caused an argument between Nadine and the reader but they slowly become friends and soon lovers.

Y/N's POV:

I'm walking down the hall putting my book in my bag as I hate classes so much, I just want to be done with school and the thought that I have to go through another year of this before I can leave, I go to head into my dad's classroom as it's lunch and I don't wanna speak to anyone as everyone else just doesn't seem to like me that much. I open the door to see some girl seated in front of him,

"You're such a dick, you know you are so fired when I actually do it!" Nadine exclaims loudly, I know Nadine, she makes everything about her, I walk over to her and stand her up.

"Why don't you shut up and not call my dad a dick, huh?" I ask her angrily, Nadine stares me down, her not saying a word. "Exactly, now sit down, take a breath and apologise to my dad."

"Y/n—"

"No, dad, she called you—"

"I don't care, let her go." He tells me calmly, I let her go and my dad moves me back as he turns me around and walks me toward the door, "You gotta calm down—"

"But—"

"Honey, I know, I know you got anger issues but just because you hear someone shouting at me, doesn't mean that you have the right to do that." Max tells me calmly which I scoff at, I hit his hand off of me.

"I'm calm." I reply to him, he scoffs at this.

"Yeah, I can tell. Plus, what's up?" He asks em, I shake my head.

"Nothing, just..." I sigh, "nothing. Doesn't matter." I mumble before opening the door, Max places his hand on my shoulder and he taps my shoulder; I turn to him, "What?" I ask him.

"You gonna sit with anyone?" He asks, I shake my head.

"No. No one likes me." I answer, a small scoff leaving my mouth.

"I thought you had that one friend, what happened to him?" Max asks me which I roll my eyes at,

"Who? Sawyer?" I ask him confused, which he nods her head at. My shoulders fall and I lean against the wall as I stay quiet, not wanting to talk about that little asshole.

"Did something happen—?"

"Yes. And I don't want to talk to him right now..." I express to him which he nods his head at.

"Okay, that's fine, that's fine." He assures me, giving me a soft smile. "Do you... wanna sit in here?" He asks me, I turn to Nadine and see her eyes tear apart from me and look down at the ground as she fiddled with her fingers, most likely out of nervousness, I turn to Max and begin walking away,

"It's fine. I'll just talk to Mr Hunter." I answer quietly knowing that I'm lying,

"Want me to walk you—?"

"No, I'm good." I reply, not looking back at him, I turn the corner and sigh, just looking down at the ground waiting to hear the door shut which I do after a couple of seconds, I walk back and sit down on the floor, I grab my headphones from my bag and plug it into my phone and play a video, beginning to watch as I ignore everyone around me.
