Chapter 21

I was very nervous to meet Devin's mother. I mean I had gone to Los Angeles, committed murder with, broken up with, and had a baby by this dude.

I kept looking at my baby in the rear view mirror and messing with the radio.
"Baby chill.." he tried to soothe me.
I nodded my head and turned up the radio and let Nina Simone do the rest of the soothing.
We pulled up to this large one-story beige stuco house. It was gorgeous. Devin cut the ignition and came around to open my door. I climbed out and got G out of the car.
We walked up the cobble stone path to the door. Devin rang the doorbell.
After about two minutes the door opened.
A beautiful lightskin woman with a short brown bob answered.
"Hello!" She says cheerfully.
"Hi" I smile shyly.
"Hey momma" Devin speaks.
"Hey baby... Ya'll must be my grand baby and future daughter-in-law."
I blushed when she said that.
"I've heard so much about ya'll... come in. " She opened the door wider. We walked into a beautiful foyer.
I smelt good food as we walked in.
"You can go sit in the living room Dev."
"Ya'll come with me." she motioned to me and Giavonni.
We walked into a spacious kitchen and food was prepared out in the counters.
"Soo.. Reign and Giavonni, tell me about yourselves."
Giavonni began squealing and blabbing. We started laughing.

"Well Ms.." I started
"You can just call me Momma Ashley or Momma or Momma A" she carried on.
"Well Momma A, I'm graduating this year, 4.0 GPA, my mother has been away on business for a year she'll be back in June... ummm and I plan on owning my own fashion company."
She laughed.
"Mhmm. That's good. I can't wait to meet your mother." She nudged me.
"Let me hold my grand baby" she reached her hands out for my son.
I handed him over.
It was time to eat and Momma Ashley asked me to call Dev while she was playing peek-a-boo with G.
"Babe ... come eat"
He walked in the kitchen smiling. I grinned and kissed his cheek as I handed him the plate I made for him.
After fixing Giavonni and I a plate I sat down at the dining table.

After I sat I got G from Devin's mom and after we said grace, began to eat.

"Mmm... that was so good Momma A".
"Sholl was momma"
"Thank you babies" she laughed.
"I know I can get it in the kitchen." she flipped her hair.
Well all burst into a fit of laughter.
"iight momma we 'bout to head out." he got up.
"Awe. iight then baby.." she said walking us to the front door.
"Bye momma A." I kissed her on the cheek. She hugged me and kissed Giavonni on the forehead.

We got into the car and headed home.

When we got back to the house. I ran Giavonni a bath and put him to sleep.

"Babe!" I called as I walked into the room.
"Wassup?" He called laying in the middle of the bed.
"I like your mommy."

"and she loves you."

Hey ya'll... So yeah it was kind of boring. But I'm trying not to let my writers block get the best of me😛.
