"Come on one more push, baby.." Devin coached me.
The doctor counted to three and I let out another scream and my beautiful baby boy.
"We need you to cut the umbilical cord, sir." A nurse says handing him some surgical scissors.
He took the scissors slowly and snipped the cord.
"He looks good.. we're going to get him cleaned up." The doctor told me.
I nodded my head.
"You did good baby." he kissed my forehead.
I smiled. I was at a loss for words.
Two days later...
"Welcome home!" Everyone shouted.
I grinned.
"This is all for us?" I say dramatically.
Everyone laughed. Of course everyone wanted to hold Giavonni. I made sure their hands were clean and passed him along.
I opened up buku gifts mostly corny onesies and diapers, bottles.. stuff like that.
They had a bunch of food set out and you already know. I went H.A.M.
When I was done though. I was ready for everybody to get out of my house so I could have family time.
Devin kicked everyone out the house while I was upstairs taking a shower. I put on some underwear and a wife beater. When I walked in the room. Devin was laying in the bed with Giavonni beside him. I climbed in the bed and grabbed G. I turned Netflix on, on the TV.
"Babe can you hand me my phone?" I asked Devin.
He placed it in my hand and I opened up my camera. I took us some family selfies. After I breast fed Giavonni and burped him. He was put in the crib in his room.
Let the games begin.
