A'Niya
"Look at my little clean, stanka butt!" I cooed at Bre'Yona. She giggled.
"Niya!" Julio yelled from downstairs.
"Hold on!" I yelled back.
I hurried and dried Bre'Yona and put her in some comfortable clothes and brought her downstairs.
"Yeah?" I said when I saw Julio walk out the kitchen.
"Come here.." he sounded out of it.
I looked at him confused.
"What's up?"
"Just come here A'Niya!" He raised his voice.
I jumped, all the abuse still gets to me sometimes.
I followed him into the kitchen and saw a line of powder on the counter.
"What the hell!" I yelled.
"come on baby!" He tried to grab my hand.
"Julio no!" I slapped his hand away from me.
He made a quick motion to grab me but I turned and sprinted to the living room, knocking over a bar stool and a vase on the way out the kitchen door way. I grabbed Bre'Yona as fast as I could and ran up the stairs skipping two... sometimes three at a time. I heard Julios heavy footsteps about five stairs behind me. I ran quickly into the bedroom and slammed the door locking it as quickly as possible. I quickly but gently sat Bre'Yona on the bed and managed to push the large dresser that was under the mounted flat screen TV in-front of the door, which Julio was currently trying to beat down.
I looked around franticly, then remembered that Julio had taken my phone. I groaned loudly as tears formed in my eyes. I saw Bre'Yona looking at me confused.
I wiped my eyes and found the TV remote and turned on cartoons for her.
I began my search on the room for my phone. I looked inside all of the bedside table drawers and under the bed, in between the mattress and the box spring through the dresser drawers. Finally I looked at Julio's closet and ran over and swung the doors open. I started feeling along the top of the shelf ,even going through the pockets of the clothes he had hanging up. Finally I started going through shoe boxes and found it and a K. Swiss shoe box. I let out a relieved sigh and then a groan when I tried to turn on the phone but was notified that it was dead. I found a charger and hooked it up quickly. I sat on the bed and began waiting on the phone to vibrate letting me know it was on... while Julio banged on the door.
