Chapter 17

Reign

"So everything looks fine... your only two weeks but, you can start taking parental vitamins." She reached under the cabinet and pulled out a large bottle of pills.
"When you get home take one of these and just chill... try not to stress and umm... I think that's all" she smiled.
"Okay thank you so much" I said as I pulled my shirt down.
"Your welcome, honey." She walked out of the room.

I looked over at Devin who was cheesing kinda hard.
"You happy, huh?" I asked grinning.
"Hell yeah!" He got out of his chair, picked me up and spun me around the room. I laughed and kissed him.
We exited the room and the clinic and got back into the car.
"Babe can we stop at Walgreens?"
I looked at him with big eyes.
"Sure baby"
He drove to the one closest to my house and parked.
He opened my car door and we walked through the automatic door.
I grabbed a basket and pulled him to the frozen dairy section and grabbed all the cookies and cream out of the freezer and worked my way to the candy isle. I grabbed all the green and blue sour punch straws and then grabbed some Twix and was on my way to the drinks. I got two large Fantas and a pack of Mango Arizonas and Watermelon Arizonas.
"Damn bae..." Dev looked at me.
I grinned.
I grabbed some more stuff and we were headed to the register.

I placed all the stuff on the counter with a grin but, it soon turned into a scowl when I noticed the clerk had a nasty attitude. It took everything in me not to slap her. But I just waited for my total.
"30.71" she said popping her gum. I rolled my eyes. Gave her a fifty and told her to keep the change.
Devin insisted on carrying the bags. We walked to the car and he placed the bags in the back seat.

We arrived at my house five minutes later and he carried the bags into the kitchen and walked up to my room.

I put up my icecream and stuff and walked upstairs. I saw Devin putting on some basketball shorts and remaining shirtless. I stripped out of my clothes and just put on a wife beater with my underwear. I climbed in bed with Devin and laid on his chest.
"You wanna start thinking of names?" Devin asked playing in my hair.
"Umm.. sure" I said.
"If it's a boy.." he trailed off.
"Giavonni!" I yelled excitedly. I've always loved that name.
"That's dope. If it's a girl?" He asked.
"Umm I don't know what do you think" I asked waiting on his input.
"Deserai" (Dez-er-Aye).
"That's cute babe!" I squealed.
"Niggah I know!" He said feeling himself. I laughed at him.
"You think we're going to be good parents... I mean baby, we're both still seniors. I just want to do right by this baby. I don't want him going through what I went through. I'm not having that." I turned around so that my chin was resting on his abs.
"All I know is that we can do the best we can bae.." he looked down at me.
"You're right" I turned back around and turned off the lights.
"Good Night babe."
"Good Night."
