"What's happening ?"
"There are two babies, and-..."
"EXCUSE ME ?!"
"Didn't you-... ?"
"No, we didn't. Two, oh my-... David, there is two of them."
"Yes, two, but there is a slight problem with one of them."
"They would have felt the heartbeat last time, wouldn't they ?" David quietly asked, feeling apprehensive about the answer.
"What does that mean ?" Alesha looked at him, his eyes full of tears.
"It means that one of the baby is pulseless...", the doctor said.
"That means it is-... It is dead, huh ?"
"I'm sincerely sorry... We'll have to do a C-section, if that's okay for you, Madam."
"Yeah, yeah, do anything, but please, save the other one...", the brunette cried.

David had to wait in the room. As a father, he couldn't get into the OR.

When a bed arrived, pushed by a nurse, followed by another small bed with a tiny baby, the tiniest newborn he had ever seen, the author cried with happiness. He immediately hugged Alesha, comforted her. Between sobs, she was able to whisper :
"It's a boy, he's called- called Felix. It was- it was a girl, she was- she was Hope..."
"It's Felix, isn't it ?"
"Yes..."
"I'm so proud of you, Lesha, you did an amazing job."
"I killed one of them."
"It's not your fault."
"Hw was inside of me, he was breathing because of me..."
"It is NOT your fault, baby."

He hugged her once more, and just like that, they became parents. Happy parents of a beautiful little boy. Felix.

Post-partum life was very complicated for Alesha, as she suffered from several mood swings, and health problems. David was very caring, and helped the young mother. Surprisingly, Simon was understanding, and he helped them, too. To shop new things, to look after the girls.

Soon, the whole world knew Felix's father was David, and insults came from all sides. It wasn't super pleasant, but perfectly bearable. People's wicked intentions couldn't make any impact on the parents' happiness and pride.

Simon reacted a bit more to the threats. Many times, the author had to calm him down. The older man always declared :
"They're hurting you. I know how happy you are, and I don't want people to ruin it."
"You're kinda overprotective sometimes, aren't you ?"
"It's because I love you, darling..."

A kiss always made him forget that.

An evening like others, the four friends were working, sat behind the judges' desk. The auditions had been boring all day long, and not one had gotten even one 'yes'.

No smutty comments from David, as he was completely exhausted. Last night, he had stayed at Alesha's place, because Felix never stopped crying, except when he was in his father's arms. He had kindly allowed his friend to take some rest, whilst he was humming lullabies to his son, eternally pacing up and down in the living room.
"Five minutes break !"

All four sighed with relief, and Alesha and David almost mechanically turned towards the nanny, who was sat right behind them, on the first row, surrounded by Anaya and Azura, and holding a crying Felix in her arms. The girls immediately rushed to have one of their mum's precious huge, as David stood up, gently lifted his son, and paced up and down with him between the desk and the stage, trying (in vain) to calm him down, just a little bit.

Simon stood up as well, grabbed his boyfriend's wrist, and led him on the stage. David quietly followed him, too tired to resist, or too weary to ask him 'why'. The whole crowd applauded, seeing them both on stage, whilst the boss demanded that one of the crew members brought him a microphone.

When that was done, he started talking :
"David Walliams... We should have a talk. In fact, it is even better if it's a public talk."
"What did I do ?" the author silently whimpered.

Simon couldn't help dumbly smiling. He could be so sweetly innocent at times.
"My David Walliams... We have had hard times together, but mostly good ones, and I just would like to simply thank you. Thank you for being here every single day, thank you for being ready to help all the time, thank you for listening to me whenever I need somebody, thank you for being who you are, I should say."
"Don't lie, Si...", he quietly whined.
"You are lying, Dave... Thank you, simply... I just want the world to know how kind you are, how courageous you are, how smutty your jokes can be-..."
"Oh, they already know that...", David limply smiled.
"I love you, David Walliams. I love every single trait of your personality, every single piece of your body. I love you, I love your sincerity, your honesty, I love when you lie to me, when you hide the truth, maybe to protect me or to protect anybody else. Protection. I feel protected round you, I feel safe round you. That's the impression you give everybody. You don't judge-..."
"That's my job", he jokingly muttered.

David had never been properly able to appreciate compliments, especially those coming from Simon, so he used to escape the embarrassment by joking.
"You obviously know what I mean, darling. I love you, and there's no other way I can say it. I love you, and I don't care about my reputation, nor about people's opinions. If they react badly, then fuck them."
"Oh no, I wanna fuck only you..."

Simon softly blushed, silently giggling.
"I just don't give a damn about what these homophobic idiots will say. I love you, and I want to love you until I die. I love you, and-...", he quietly sniffed, raising his left hand to his eyes, and gently rubbing it, as though he was going to burst out crying.

It was definitely serious... David had seen the older man cry only twice ; when Hope left, and when he felt awfully terrible for having slapped him.
"Shh, come here, honey...", the author wrapped his left hand round Simon's shoulders, still rocking Felix with his right arm.
"I just wanted to say I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything... You are the best person I can be friends with, the best person I could have ever dreamt to be in a relationship with. You made me discover things, a lot of things. I've never felt like that, being in a couple with women, and I'm glad you made me find these feelings. And I want to thank you forever, every single day. I love you, darling, and-..."

Simon was uglily crying now, but he managed to go down on one knee, and to take a beautiful black box out of his pocket.

David raised a hand to his mouth, already stunned.
"That is why, David Edward Walliams, I ask you to become my husband for the rest of our days."

He stopped for a second, too moved to be able to talk, before sobbing these five words :
"Will you marry me, Dave ?"
"Oh my gosh-..."

The public applauded, Alesha and Amanda stood up, and clapped too.
"Well, you know...", the author started, which made the crowd giggle. "Ugh okay, it's a yes from me..."

Cheers fell on them from everywhere.
"Yes, I will, honey."

David helped Simon to get up, and passionately kissed him.
"I love you...", they both whispered...
