Tina and Gavin stood in the breakroom talking. Nines stood beside Gavin. He listened to their conversation. "You know, when I said I wanted a case that would mean chasing someone, I didn't want to have to chase down some teens." Gavin complained. "Hey, you got a case that lets you be semi-reckless. Enjoy it." Tina joked, giggling. "They're kids. They can't be this hard to find." Gavin leaned on the table. "But they're smart and know how to act." Nines responded. "If they are the ones doing all this, they are sneaky and can fake their emotions and get through my scans." He continued. Gavin huffed. Tina thought for a second. "Quick question." She looked at Nines. "Yeah?" Nines looked at Tina. "Are there teenage android models?" Tina asked. "Yes, why do you ask?" Nines tilted his head. "Well, I've just noticed that the cases we had that involved having to chase down someone who is very smart and sneaky have always been hurt androids." Tina spoke. "This is just a theory, but are we sure they aren't androids?" She asked. Gavin dropped his head. "Great another android chase." He huffed. "That is a possibility." Nines answered. "But we need to bring them in for questioning before we can figure that out." He continued. Gavin looked at Nines. "How about android to android contact?" He asked. Can't you guys talk to each other through your minds if they're androids, or whatever kind of cliché fantasy story nonsense." He continued. Tina chuckled. Nines scoffed. "You mean this?" He looked at Connor. "Connor, can you come here?" He asked. The others didn't hear him, only Connor. "Yeah!" Connor answered. He walked over to Nines. "Yes we can." Nines looked at Gavin. Connor tilted his head, confused. "Talking to each other through our minds." Nines looked at Connor. "Telepathy!" Tina smiled. "It's like telepathy, but just for them!" She looked at Gavin. "Hold on, I'll be right back!" Connor said, before going to get Hank to join them. "It must be nice to be able to talk to someone without opening your mouth." Gavin sipped his coffee. "You guys can too. It's just not the way we do things. It's called texting." Nines smirked. "You smartass." Gavin glared at him. Tina laughed. Connor came back with Hank, getting Hank some coffee while Hank stood by the table.

Katrina walked down the sidewalk, trying to hurry back to her home. She tried to keep her head down and not draw attention to herself. An officer that was patrolling looked at her, seeing that she matched the description of a suspect. The officer got out of his car and walked towards Katrina. "Excuse me, ma'am." The officer said. Katrina stopped walking and looked at the officer. "Yes, officer?" She faced him completely. "I just wanted to ask you about the vandalism that's been popping up. Ask a few questions." The officer stood in front of her. "Vandalism?" Katrina asked. "Yes. There have been, what we suspect, some teens running around spray painting stores and other buildings without permission." The officer answered. "Oh." Katrina held her phone behind her back. "Okay, I don't think I have anything useful for your case." She said. "Maybe so, but, ma'am, you are a suspect." The officer said. "Wait what?" Katrina gripped her phone tighter. "I'm sorry, but you are a suspect and I'm going to need to talk to your parents or guardians." The officer responded. "I...I don't think my parents will talk to you." Katrina kept a tight grip on her phone. "They have a history with crimes and your officers, and now they don't like talking to law enforcement or having anything to do with them." Katrina spoke. It wasn't a complete lie, they did have a bad history, but they would talk to the officer if needed. "That doesn't really surprise me." The officer sighed. Katrina looked at her phone, looking at the time. "I really need to get home." She felt her anxiety starting to pick up. She backed up a bit. "I know. I just need to ask a few more questions, and then you can leave." The officer spoke. Katrina nodded. "Do you have any friends that match these descriptions." The officer said before describing Clara and Jesse and showing their pictures. "Yes, I do. Are they suspects too?" Katrina asked. "Yes they are." The officer answered. "Oh." Katrina looked down. She started spamming the notification button on an app she and the other two had. She stopped when she heard the pop sound of a text coming through. The officer stopped his questions and looked at her. "It's my text notification. May I check it? I think it's my mom." Katrina asked. "Sure." The officer let her. Katrina looked at the message. "Wtf Katrina? Are you okay?" Clara had sent. "Kat? Hun, are you okay?" Jesse sent. "Uh, let's just say I'm being questioned by an officer right now. I'll make an audio recording." Katrina texted back. She put her phone away after pressing the recorder. "Sorry about that. It was my mom." She lied. "You're fine, ma'am. What did mama want?" The officer joked. "She was just questioning where I was and why I wasn't home yet." Katrina lied again. "Okay. Well, I'm sorry for keeping you out like this. Please hurry home." The officer spoke, letting Katrina go. "Thank you, sir. If I see anything, I'll let you guys know." Katrina smiled softly before walking away from the officer. Once she was far enough away, she started to run, sending the audio to Clara and Jesse. She ran down the street, flinching at a dog barking at her through the fence. "You spooky bitch, don't bark at me." She ran past the dog, heading to her home. "Fuck. I thought I said, lay low!" Clara texted. "I was trying, but guess who has to go from place to place for my parents? Right, me!" She responded. "Okay, just get home and call us." Jesse texted. "If my parents don't kill me, okay." Katrina responded. "God, why am I the one to get caught? son of a bitch. Could've gotten a different group of teens, nope, it was fucking me." Katrina complained.
