Tina entered the precinct, heading over to the coffee machine. Connor looked over at her, seeing her stress was high. He walked over to her. "Hey, Officer Chen!" He smiled. "Tina, you don't have to call me Officer Chen anymore." She giggled. "Speaking of that, why do you still call us officer or lieutenant or detective? Nines doesn't." She asked, grabbing her coffee. "I don't really know. I guess it's my programming?" Connor shrugged, following her to her desk. "Maybe, but Nines doesn't. Don't you guys have the same programming?" Tina asked, sitting down at her desk, placing her coffee beside her keyboard. "He's an upgraded version of me. His programming is a bit different. Everything else is still the same, kind of." He answered, leaning against the desk. "And yet Gavin fell in love with Nines." She whispered. Connor chuckled. "Gavin has spent more time with Nines than he has with me. That might explain that." He crossed his arms. "Maybe. Have you been in love?" She asked. "Not really." Connor looked down, a little upset about that. "I'm sure you will eventually." Tina reassured him. "Hopefully." Connor smiled softly. "Get back to work, you two." Fowler spoke as he walked to his office. "Yes sir." Tina smirked. Connor moved away from her desk, walking back to Hank. Gavin sat at his desk while Nines walked to the coffee machine, getting coffee for Gavin. Gavin grabbed his phone, clicking on Google. Nines walked back over to him, placing Gavin's coffee on his desk. "What are you doing, Gavin?" He asked, walking behind Gavin, curious about what he was looking at. Gavin hid his phone in his chest. "None of your business." He looked up at Nines. Nines raised an eyebrow, confused and even more curious. "Mhm." He looked away, looking at Gavin's computer. He leaned down, turning it on. Gavin spun the chair away from Nines, looking at something on Google again. Nines glanced at Gavin, then back at the computer. He noticed Hank chuckling, walking over to Gavin's desk with Connor. Hank noticed Gavin's phone. "That's professional." He said, his chuckling stopping. Gavin hid his phone quickly, turning to look at Hank. "Screw off. What do you want?" He turned off his phone. Nines stood up straight, stopping Gavin's chair from hitting the edge of the desk as he rolled back. "Guess who's going on patrol?" Hank smirked. Gavin realized what he meant and sighed. "Us?" He leaned his head back, looking up at the ceiling. "Yep. Good luck." Hank walked away. "God dammit." Gavin grabbed his coffee, sitting up in his chair again, sipping his coffee. "I think being on patrol will be nice." Nines responded. "Have you been on patrol yet?" Gavin looked at Nines. "No." Nines responded. "It's boring as fuck." Gavin complained, putting his coffee down again. "Tina and Chris will be on patrol too, so it won't just be you two." Connor finally spoke. "That doesn't make things better." Gavin looked at Connor. "Sure." Nines spoke, being sarcastic. "Shut up, Nines." Gavin looked up at Nines, who was going through things on the computer. "Hopefully you two actually catch something." Connor spoke. "Doubt it." Gavin leaned back in his chair again. Connor decided to leave them alone, walking back over to Hank's desk. "Yay. Patrol." Gavin kept complaining. "Complaining won't make it better." Nines looked at Gavin, standing up straight again. "Let me complain and be dramatic." Gavin spun around in his chair. Nines rolled his eyes. He got an idea, smirking. He grabbed Gavin's chair, stopping him from spinning. Gavin's chair was facing away from Nines. He leaned his head back, looking at Nines. "What are you doing?" He asked. "Nothing. You look cute." Nines responded. Gavin blushed a soft red. Nines leaned down to kiss Gavin. Tina had been watching. She grabbed her phone and started to record them. Gavin returned the kiss before Nines pulled away, pushing Gavin's chair away. Gavin stopped his chair before he bumped into something or someone. Tina started laughing, still recording. Gavin glared at Nines. "I hate you." Nines, who was laughing too, walked over to him. "I love you too." He grabbed the arms of Gavin's chair, leaning forward. "Very professional, you two!" Tina shouted at them. Gavin blushed more from embarrassment. Nines looked over at her, giggling. He pushed Gavin back over to his desk, stopping him before he hit it. "God dammit." Gavin sighed. "What am I? Your toy?" He got off the chair. "Yeah." Nines smirked. "Okay, I see how you feel." Gavin crossed his arms. Tina and Nines continued laughing, with a few other officers joining in. "One of these days I will quit." Gavin pouted. "I'm sorry. I'm just trying to distract you, okay?" Nines calmed down his laughter. "Well, it...it worked." Gavin stuttered, not wanting to admit that Nines messing around and not being so professional was cute and nice to see. "Don't we have work to do?" He interrupted Nines. "Yes we do." Nines chuckled. Gavin looked over at Tina. "Delete that video." He glared at her. "Tch, no! I'm posting this shit!" Tina responded, posting it to her story. Gavin got a notification on his phone saying Tina had posted on her story. "You get to be on patrol with me and Nines, I will torture you." Gavin joked. "Uh huh." Tina acted like she was ignoring him. Nines and Connor watched them, watching their stress levels going down. They both smiled before looking at each other and going back to work.
