It was Kageyama's turn to serve. All he had to do was throw the ball in the air, jump up and hit it towards the other side of the court, right?

That's what was supposed to happen. Instead Tobio through the ball up and jumped. BOOM. A loud crack of thunder caused him to miss and land on the floor, making his ears ring.

Nishinoya helped up. BOOM. There was another loud crack of thunder, making him flinch. Tobio could hear the wind howling and rain pouring from outside, beating down against the gym roof.

His jaw clenched while his left eye twitched uncontrollably with the occasional jerk of his neck.

He saw Coach was about to blow the whistle but before he could do that, Kageyama took the whistle off of his neck, throw it on the ground and stomped on it as hard and as much as he could, making it to break.

He felt a little triumphant over that, feeling like he had just defeated the wretched little whistle that has been plaguing his ears with horrible sounds for months.
