I ran for awhile. I took rests most of the time. I didn't know how long I was out there, I just knew it had been awhile. I was a very young child. I don't know how I even came up with the idea of running away.

Then the sun rose up for the second time. I got up from my leaf pile and left for more traveling, in hopes of finding a village. I remember walking for quite a bit and seeing mountains. I gaped at the sight of them. I walked around the mountains. For a long time. Until, I saw a small hole. Enough that it could fit me. I tilted my head down to see if anything was in there. I could see a small light all the way down. I started to crawl through it. My hands and knees were getting so burnt out after so much crawling. My head even smacked the top of the tunnel a few times.

Finally I could see the end. Inside of the mountain range looked very pretty and bright. I peeked my head out of the tunnel and then stood up. My knees and hands were covered in dirt sucked into my skin. And my purple dress was now black and brown.

I continued to walk through the inside. Until I heard someone say very quietly, "Is that a child?"

I looked behind me and saw a women. She was with a young girl about 11. The women had red hair pulled into a messy braid, a yellow dress, and very big eyes. The younger girl had a red and white dress and her hair was in 2 buns with two little bows.

I smiled slightly and rubbed my face with my filthy hands. "Hello.." I mumbled.

They went up to me, and the older women looked very concerned.

"Dear oh my, where are your parents. And why so dirty?" She asked.

"Um," I say. "I don't know."

And I wasn't wrong. I didnt know where they were. Or what village I really lived in exactly.

"I told you mami. I know I heard someone. Your name is Tori, right?" The girl questioned.

How did she know that, I thought. "Victoria Annet Ev-" I started to say but stopped.

They frowned. Then the older women said, "Well I'm Pepa. Dolores go tell your father. And get your tia Julieta."

Then the wind picked up really hard. Almost knocking me down. The girl covered her ears and closed her eyes every so hard

"Stop, stop! Clear skies, clear skies..." Pepa said as she was kneading her braid. The wind went down. "Sorry bout that. Weather is not my friend." She smiled awkwardly.

The girl named, Dolores laughed, nodded and strutted away in a little hurry.

I then met Felix, and Julieta. They were so nice to me. Julieta said her cooking is magical. But I wasn't hurt anyway.

The rest of the story got weird. They brought me to their lovely house they called, casita.
