The day flew past. I did the rest of my chores, i helped Julieta make lunch, and went to the bakery.

Then it was finally time for dinner.

"Tori we're starting dinner, so you better scadaddle," Luisa says as she comes out of hallway.

"I'm going, I'm going," I say as I was watering the Isabelas plants near the entryway.

I set down the can and follow Luisa into the dining hall.

Everyone was sitting at the table. Including Camilo. He seemed more upbeat but a bit on the downside.

"Ah, Victoria's here. Let's start dinner," Abuela announces as we pull out our chairs.

I sit next to Antonio and Pepa. Camilo and Mirabel are on the other side of me.

Food starts to rotate around the room and we grab whatever we can. It all looked amazing like normal.

"So Dolores, was Mariano too busy to be here tonight?" Abuela asks.

"He wasn't feeling up to it," Dolores answers sipping on a cup of tea.

"Oh, was he sick? Julieta is always there to help," Abuela says as she nods towards Julieta.

"No,no. He was just a bit down. That's all."

Camilo then knocks over a water glass splashing water everywhere. He immediately tries to pick up the cup before it's too late. But the water fell everywhere.

"Camilo, you need to be more careful!" Pepa groans.

"I know mama!" He says as he starts rubbing the water out with a towel from his lap.

Felix clears his throat. "The festival tomorrow. Are you all.. excited?"

We all look at him in silent for a moment until I say, "I am. One of the best days of the year, am I right?"

"Of course it is Victoria," Abuela adds.

Antonio's parrot squawks and he translates, "Henry tells me that Dolores isn't going."

We all turn to Dolores as she sinks down into her sick a bit.

"Dolores, is that true?" Abuela questions.

"Uh, I don't know. I'll be going for a part of it. But Mariano said he planned something for me."

"She's a growing woman Mama. Let her do her own things with her Fiancé," Pepa tells her mother before she says anything.

"When I was her age I was hiding. In things. Mostly in boxes heh," Bruno says stiffly.

"Bruno, you hid in walls. Walls beat boxes," Camilo says sarcastically.

Bruno shrugs.

Abuela was still not intrigued. "Dolores, but later in the festival is your favorite parts. Hey would you want to leave for Mariano?"

"Alright, alright. Let's just eat and talk about happy things. Get into the vibe, you know," I smile as not so awkwardly as I can.

Antonio taps me on my shoulder and whispers, "Tori.. your hand is on fire..."

But he said that when I put my burning hand on a napkin. And of course the napkin went in flames. I panicked and splashed water on more then just the napkin. I got it all over Camilo, and Dolores. And a bit on Luisa too.

Camilo was very drenched. His curly hair was sopping wet. Dolores only really got her hair moist.

"Nice going Tori," Camilo says as he flips his sopping hair out of his face.

"Sorry..." I mutter.
